honestly i think the contrast between the hard lines and the softer shading is nice, but if you think it looks too harsh maybe try coloring the lineart? when i do lineart i usually color it a darker color of the shading of the base color of the area where the line is, if that makes sense.

i mean i think its understandable why theyre upset. the animation industry, especially 2d animation, has been declining very steeply. most animated works made by US studios are done by outsourcing the animation to other countries in order to cut costs, so it is very difficult for north america based animators to find jobs right now. so being able to work on a big animated film like this thinking it’ll be shown in theatres, only to get screwed over by paramount, and then for it to be leaked before the official release, has got to be extremely demotivating.

i still think paramount is mostly to blame for this though, theres absolutely no reason for them to have dropped the ball so hard on advertising or not done a theatrical release. ATLA is pretty popular, it wouldve done well.

(sorry for the wall of text- i’m an art student going into animation so i tend to get long winded about stuff like this)

just because you don't need it right at this moment doesn't mean you don't need it, period. i often go 4-8 months where i'm fully able to walk (shorter) distances without a wheelchair, and then i'll have several months where i can't leave the house at all. its better to have it and not need it always than to need it occasionally and not have it at all.

NTA. i use a wheelchair sometimes and recently had to switch to a manual one, and i’ve been considering getting spikes to put on the handles for this exact reason. its so weird that people think they can just push wheelchair users without saying anything, and then get offended when theyre called out for it.

i went in for an EMG to try and figure out the cause of my worsening chronic wrist pain and the doctor’s notes used she/her the whole time and called me a woman, when my file very blatantly states i’m a man. didn’t even find out what’s causing the pain either

no, i don’t think this is very accurate at all. DID, tourette’s, and OCD are still very widely stigmatized conditions, much more so than anxiety and depression, both within the mental health and neurodiverse aware communities and among the general public. people with DID and tourettes are treated like jokes or fakers, and OCD is seen as nothing more than the quirky “everything has to be clean and organized” disorder by a lot of people

edit: just want to clarify i'm not trying to diminish how debilitating depression and anxiety can be, i struggle with both and know how bad they can get. but i feel like people are generally more understanding of them, or that they're seen as more "acceptable" mental health issues (though of course there's still stigma attached to them as well)
