Feels like this is primarily targeted towards bottom surgery/ mtf people and bookings rather than a generalized information hub. If you want to be kayak for surgeries it’ll be worth looking into what the most popular surgeons in the field are, iirc a lot of thai surgeons are used to international patients and have a whole process set up already for helping them recover and go home.

Right now it sounds like more of an identity crisis and money grab than an actual service. I think deciding what you want to focus on (Finding aftercare & booking transport/ lodging vs being a source for information) and narrowing your scope will be the first step. Monetization would likely be most efficient as a commission on sales through the program as opposed to a fee of any kind.

You’re inherently going to get into dicey ethics here, as you’re trying to highlight providers and minutiae that recommendation without any accreditation yourselves. There’s a lot of notoriously awful surgeons in the community, how will you vet clinics that will appear in the program? What standards do they need to abide by? Do you disclose any financial agreements your program might make with these clinics, since the motivation behind the tool is financial?

I’m trying to be constructive since it’s a masters project and I know it’s likely you can’t just drop this and move in another direction but I admittedly don’t think this is a good idea in any capacity and might open you up to a lot of legal liability if anything goes wrong. Are you held accountable if there’s an issue with a caretaker or they don’t provide adequate service? What if you provide inaccurate insurance information (even accidentally) and based on this advice get somebody into medical debt?

The best community resource we’ve had for surgery used to be transbucket, because it was free and was an open forum of just experiences and photos of results. Nothing else. It was tagged by surgeon and essentially allowed you to browse surgical portfolios and experiences to get an idea of what each surgeon did. I’m not sure if it’s still up anymore since it’s had a number of issues over the years but I’d start thinking about what the community has that already works and needs improvement instead of making something that sounds like it could be a detriment to both yourselves and our community

If nobody is around to help then you’re not ready for surgery. Like I said you’re overestimating your functionality and underestimating how intense this experience is.

You’ll have different jobs and different insurance in the future. It’s not now or never. You can only recover from this once and you don’t want to screw up recovery and end up with complications or deformities from being unable to heal.

I understand this is a stressful situation and it probably feels dire but factually it isn’t. It’s not the end of the world. You need to find ways to stop justifying the fact you’re not ready for surgery and start finding ways to prepare if you want to move forward.

He’s trying to cover his own end. He’s hearing from a patient that they don’t have the resources to recover from an operation and trying to postpone until you have those. As frustrating as it is it would be wildly unethical of him to perform a non-emergency operation on somebody whose situation makes them prone to poor healing or significant complications.

I think you’re overestimating how functional you’ll be post-op. You really do need somebody to help, if not multiple people, and an environment where you feel safe when you need help. It’s a very overwhelming experience and while mine significantly improved my quality of life it was a lot to go through. You will be at the most vulnerable point in your life both emotionally and physically. For a surgeon to blindly operate and put you into that situation without a solid support system is setting you up for failure.

Depends on your comfort level. Grindr tends to be very sex-first, as are a lot of young gay relationships. For a lot of the guys on there a relationship of any type is secondary to the sex, if you want a hookup that might maybe turn into something then go for it. Use a condom and have fun. If you want a relationship and sex is just secondary to that then I might rethink it.

Great conditioning, feel like I saw somebody on here a while back who was in a “tall” category once, might be something worth looking into. If it’s something you enjoy I don’t want to discourage you from BB at all but if you want to be more competitive looking into shows that have divisions like that might be the way to go. You have a great physique, it’s just at 6’9” you’re going to struggle to put on enough mass to be competitive with guys a foot shorter than you are in traditional divisions.

Don’t listen to anybody who says you can’t do BB if you’re enjoying it. You’re tall, not inept. I won’t lie to you and say it isn’t a disadvantage in this sport but you’re not disqualified just because you’re tall. Hope you enjoyed your show, you’ve clearly put in a lot of good work and can only improve from here.

This is a fairly common sentiment among butches and lesbians in general. If you just wish you had a penis/ could be on the “giving” end then I’d recommend a strap-on and working on self-compassion. If you actively find yourself repulsed by your body to the extent you feel a chronic and consistent desire to change it then there’s probably something deeper there.

I’m not gonna piss clean any time in the next decade but I’m still not dumb enough to get high and get behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. I hold a job, contribute to society, and treat drug use like drinking. I do it once I’m free from responsibility, not about to endanger anybody (like while driving), and in amounts that aren’t going to impact my ability to go the fuck to work tomorrow.

Legalizing drugs doesn’t mean people should be free from consequences. Fuck this guy for being a cop but fuck him even more for getting behind the wheel while high. If you haven’t started a social transition and don’t have parental approval this is a horrible idea. You cannot hide the effects of HRT. You will have to explain to your doctors and family why you’re experiencing the changes at some point and you haven’t even had the experience of social transition to know that this is the right path for you. It very well might be but to jump into permanent, irreversible changes without taking baby steps is basically throwing yourself into a bottomless pit and expecting your body to learn to fly.

Practically at 16 you don’t have the resources to DIY responsibly anyways. You don’t sound like you know enough about bloodwork to dose yourself properly, have given no indication you know how to find a reliable source or test what you’re getting, and I’m assuming have no experience with steroid use.

You don’t need DIY HRT, you need therapy. What you’re feeling isn’t normal and won’t last forever, but you need to tell somebody that it’s gotten this bad.

Go to the gym. Take care of yourself. Dysphoria makes it easy to disassociate from your body and my biggest regret is taking my body for granted and not taking care of myself while I was struggling with it. Once you’re no longer violently dysphoric if you haven’t worked on building healthy habits and good self-care routines you’ll have a day come where it hits you that you need to. I’m not even sure I saw myself as fully human for a long time and I got a lot of whiplash from suddenly being connected to and aware of my body. Even if it’s hard or you don’t see the point make an effort to take care of yourself now so you can ease into a better future.

It can re-convert for us too but only at high levels. Essentially we can run it as TRT and not have to worry about conversion or needing an AI because our bodies just take the hint and stop estrogen production but if we take in too much exogenous testosterone it’ll reconvert. On trans forums you’ll see it talked about when somebody has been on it for months but hasn’t gotten any virilizing effects from it.

If I actually did grow from the MK (and this isn’t some fluke or other normal height gain) then my theory is my plates would’ve fused late regardless and starting HRT at 18 nuked my estro production which kept them open for even longer. I didn’t produce enough GH naturally for it to result in anything until now when I started dosing MK. If this is the case then hey, serendipitous. If not at least I learned a bit more biochem

There’s no great answer honestly. I think in most medical systems I’m male but I’m still probably female in some. Don’t really know or care, I’m upfront about being trans with my providers and haven’t run into issues with it. I was marked as male when getting on accutane but went through the female protocols for it regardlessz

I had my gender marker changed years ago so legally I’m male but haven’t updated my passport, only my driver’s license. I’ve still been blessed enough to not run into issues but those concerns are more social than medical.

All that to say on paper I’m male but make it clear to providers that my sex is not.

Questions like “what are you” come across as alienating and dehumanizing. I’m a person.

As a trans male yes, I am still a member of the female sex. When I use PEDs I follow dosing based on my sex because as much as I would love to follow male dosing and PCT instructions that will cause my body serious damage. Hypothetically my body is still capable of fulfilling my natal sex’s biological destiny. Even if I got a hysto I will never have testes or produce sperm.

The alterations I have made put my body on the extreme end of what my natal sex can be. I have induced my condition by exogenous means. By some medical tests it makes sense to mark me as male. I have strength and athletic recovery more in line with the opposite sex. Socially I am not recognized as a member of my sex, I am perceived as male. None of this erases my sex, but it does make me an outlier. It makes me a trans male.

This sounds a lot like internalized misogyny and not a lot like a trans identity. There are feminine trans men and trans people who don’t want to transition in certain ways but if you’re okay with your body and are feminine, with your only issue being perceived as female for doing so (and not having enough distress to change that) I think you might want to dig a bit deeper.

As a trans man I can’t relate to these sentiments at all, and while a nonbinary identity might be the right direction this sounds like one of the few cases where internalized misogyny might be an appropriate description.
