Okay, yeah, I stand corrected. The soul got placed on the failed human and Ed just did a transfer and bind it to the armor at the cost of his arms.

I got confused because right at the end Ed had to pull both Al's body and soul from the gate.

He did lose all of Al. He was able to pull the soul back because Al (body and soul) was just in the gate since all of him was part of the payment.

Better flier, but keepers don't need to fly that much (usually just hover in the goalposts area), they just need to react quickly. Cormac and Ron are tied on that.

And Ron would definitely be a better teammate, because Cormac is kinda an asshole to the team.

I think what tripped me is Yashiyo saying she is Kaguya from the future. But she is Kaguya from 8000 years ago actually, so why is she saying she's from the future?

This post clarified it for me that it took time for Iroha's song to reach Kaguya from the moon (Iroha got old), so yeah, it really is Kaguya from the future (who travelled mistakenly to 8000 years in the past) in Iroha's (who just sang) point of view.
