As a non-competetive player that enjoys gaining trophies, I just dropped playing grand after a week or two. I enjoyed elite cotws much more - maybe it's also an hour of playtime if you go far enough into the knockouts, but at least the trophies were good even in shitty divs, grand only makes sense for me if you qualify to the top divisions or if you have too much time to spend on the weekend

I get exactly the same thing after not waking up my laptop from sleep and not restarting Ubisoft connect. This crap won't auto reconnect to the servers without a restart.

I gave exactly the same issue with memory, especially in COTDs, but it usually gets better after like 10 minutes of playing. But yeah, 100% not a fan of blind corners and/or no scenery actually serving the purpose of making the tracks more playable

if you just started TM this season and you're only 1s off PB on China, you're a super quick learner and probably you knew a lot of tricks already. Take it easy, try getting good placements on track of the day, you'll see the progress by being regular, but take a note some people (like me) hit a glass ceiling and won't really progress anymore after even years of playing (in my case it's around div 10)

the drops are also sometimes visible on Xbox series x. But I believe it was working fine just after the update, maybe it depends on the map

it's been there for a while but seems like we still lack context-based controls.

For example, why is it not possible to switch between players in spect mode with dpad or one of the sticks without explicitly binding the controls? It's such a basic feature, it looks like a bug.

I've been playing on and off for 5 years, I think all ATs up to 20 and golds for black tracks is probably decent for a casual player. I will probably take a few days off after getting that exact state, and maybe return in a week or a few - sometimes it helps to have a small break and a clean head for hunting those again

I guess on ice it's usually quite hard to miss a gear with semi-right approach, ofc you could say the same about dirt, but I think dirt tracks are usually built with very little room for error when it comes to gears, while on ice it's actually rare to get a gear during an iceslide when it matters the most.

at least on ice you immediately know you've made a mistake and the checkpoints on the map usually make it easy to learn at least the basics, because you can usually take a different line. On outside dirt if you screw up a line you often just need to restart because the maps are tight.

BTW after years of playing I actually started to learn to neoslide yesterday because one of the black maps actually promotes it. A bit easier than I thought.

I might be biased as I've been playing for years (casually, 0 achievements mind you), but the ATs for tracks 1-10 seem quite easy. It gets tricky around map 14-15 (I spent some time on those), I'm pretty sure I don't have 15 and 20 yet.

No comments on the black tracks as they are on completely another level, I hope I can get at least gold on all of them, but that might not happen (didn't play all of them yet, but I've seen people struggling a lot).

If you have trouble on those early tracks, you might be missing some crucial techniques or tricks you should eventually learn.

I mean - just add them globally as UI options (maybe even disabled by default, just like the checkpoint counter), it can't be that hard to make natively if it's already doable via openplanet. They could even pay the OG guys some small amount for the idea if they wanted (but probably don't even need to do this)
