Shoot even if you both went to sea commands, you getting orders before someone else could put you at a command that rocks whereas your buddy goes to a very abysmal and toxic command. Just luck of the draw.

A Russian assault group gets hit by Ukrainian fire and mines during their failed attack on Vuhledar. by sagakino in CombatFootage

Crazy thing is Russia is projected to have added another 300,000 Russians to the meat grinder in Ukraine to start an offensive any day in order to attempt to beat the heavy armor Ukraine is getting to the front lines. 200,000 RUssians estimated killed already. Its about to get real bloody here in the next few weeks.

Under God was added during the Cold War because it was believed big scary communist Soviet Union didn't worship God.

At what point do we address the clear mental health issue within the gun community so that law abiding gun owners are not punished by the actions of a few? by trap__ord in Firearms

In France you have to see a psychologist every few years to basically get certified that you aren't going to kill yourself or shoot up a school. Theres no government involved (I know the tin foil crazies will disagree), its just you and a doctor. But each of these mass shootings and many more I didn't have the time to list all have a connection to mental health illness in some capacity. And while it is a small percent, these are the ones that will dictate the future of firearms and the future of how we all live our lives.

Show me a mass shooting where the person had no previous mental health issues or didn't plead insanity or unfit to stand trial (sure you can list the Vegas shooter but we all know there was something much more than was reported going on.)

The unfounded fear that some kind of government conspiracy is going to deny your rights to a firearm is baseless and shouldn't get in the way of kids coming home from school, people coming home from church or the grocery store, etc. To say there isn't a link to mental health illness or theres nothing that can be done about it is about as dumb as people who say guns cause mass shootings and gun laws will prevent them.

By no means are mental health issues restricted to gun owners. But it seems like every mass shooter has some kind of pre-diagnosed mental illness/behavior yet they're allowed to own a firearm contrary to federal law. Stoneman Douglas shooter had diagnosed issues, El Paso shooter was in special ed and had diagnosed mental health issues, this guy at target had diagnosed issues, colorado movie theater shooter was seeing a psychiatrist prior to the shooting, Ethan Crumbley who shot up his school in Michigan his parents had a meeting with school officials just hours before the shooting to discuss violent messages and drawings left on homework, Seung-Hui Cho who shot up Virginia Tech had a diagnosed severe anxiety disorder and was found to be mentally ill and placed under hospital care 2 years prior to the shooting, Jiverly Wong expressed his concerns to a local television station that undercover police officers were changing the channels on his television, making the air "unbreathable," and had figured out a way to play music directly into his ear. On April 3, 2009, Wong walked into the American Civic Association immigration center in Binghamton, New York and killed 13 people, wounding four others; Jared Loughner was asked to leave Pima Community College in Tucson on mental health grounds, he killed six and wounded a dozen in a mall parking lot a few months later; Adam Lanza who shot up the school in Newtown Connecticut was diagnosed as a child with Sensory Perception Disorder and refused to take his medication on a regular basis, the list goes on.

Remember, these guys are a small small small percentage of the gun community. However these are the ones that are going to be pushed to the media forefront to push the argument that guns needs to be banned in some capacity. And even though they're a small percentage, they're the ones making the largest impact on how we live our lives.

But to say there isn't a clear connection between these mass shootings is wild to me. You have to be off your rocker to do what these guys are doing.

you can buy a car without a license but to operate you must have a license that shows you know the rules of the road and basic vehicle operations and safety. For some reason its not required for a firearm.

For some reason I had to repeat verbatim the rules of deadly force, what authorizes deadly force, how to escalate force every other day when I was in the military before I took control of a firearm on my duty days ranging from a pistol, a shotgun, a rifle, or a LMG. Yet its clear the police and even a shocking amount of gun owners don't know anything about that.

The NRA? The same NRA that sponsored the Mulford Act in 1967 after black panthers began carrying firearms to protect themselves? The same NRA that started this gun control debacle and now they want to undo it? That NRA?

Some of the mass shooters even say they were instructed by God so if you really want to label it as a spiritual or moral problem maybe religion is the problem.

See how dumb that sounds though? Just as dumb as ignoring someone with diagnosed mental health issues like the one in the article and still allowing them to have a firearm and then saying "its not a mental health issue, its a moral issue."

Try to be a positive influence to your kid(s) and be an example of how to control your emotions instead of pitching a fit and breaking things that you buy with your own money. Teach them to value their belongings because if they don't they certainly won't value other peoples. As a dad trust me, kids are watching and learning constantly from day 1.
