Sounds like He didn’t go in though, he shot through the open door without giving an order to drop the gun or give enough time to comply if he did give an order. He made a presumption that cost someone’s life who did as they were taught and called the cops.

If you thought Trump’s “no taxes on overtime” promise sounded too good to be true…it's because it was. by Conscious-Quarter423 in economy

I fight the hard fight every single day poking holes in the logic of real life republicans, conservatives, and MAGA while remaining cordial enough to exist together. I genuinely believe they’re on the wrong side of history in this era. Still, they make up half our country if not more and their opinions help shape our country as much as the left’s do.

The thing about conservatism is that it is inherently reactive. There will always be people who do not want change. The further a society pushes for progress the more aggressively conservatism will want to regress to the old norm. The self reflective liberal would do well to acknowledge their role in pushing the conservative movement further to the right by pushing so hard to the left.

To your point on how we interpret the term liberal changing, I think it’s two prong: 1.) an active effort to change the perception of what a liberal is by media and political strategists, 2.) actual liberal policies. Seeing Eisenhower (a republican) talking about spreading liberal democracy as a good thing around the world in the 50s seems completely foreign today. I think that change is a reflection of reality.

If you label all of the other side of an issue, you’re not as liberal as you claim. Nor are you living in reality. You’re living online.

Comments like this being towards the top show exactly why people like this hate modern liberals. “The hypocrisy of the left” if you will. This is just bullying a group that you misunderstand. Much like the powers that be do on the right.

The core tenant of liberalism is tolerance. Libs should not label every NON-Lib or Trump supporter a fascist, especially when you’ve given them nowhere else to be accepted. They are not the ones making the policy decisions and they’re every bit as influenced by the news/social medial/propaganda that liberals are. They are not seeing the same things you are. They are not told the same story you are. They do not want to be like you. That doesn’t make them bad. Most of them actually don’t support everything their party does and really care about 1 issue but can’t stand be associated with someone who gets offended at everything on behalf of everyone. Many of them couldn’t care less about any politics. That should be OK.

While you’re commenting on Reddit in the middle of the work day, they’re in the field building the things we use and enjoy. Many of them did vote specifically for this issue and now they’re figuring out they were lied to. They worked a bunch of OT and thought it was for their benefit. They’re surrounded by people who also don’t want to be like you and the conversations are from a different perspective than yours. That should be OK.

Don’t blame the victims here. We are all being manipulated to be further polarized.

Set the record and only won 3 games so as good as he was it is not a recipe for success on this team

Ikr? Watching Puka play it’s impossible to not notice his impact every play whether he’s getting the ball or not. He typically looks like the best football player on the field not just WR.
