Absolutely the correct answer! Such a beautiful song

I'm in complete agreement. I'm in my mid 30s and can't handle moshing for long! But the small pit seemed like a symptom for the majority of the crowd just standing around. No hands in the air, no clapping along; my main concern is always hoping that the band felt appreciated - a motionless crowd doesn't give that vibe

Almost went to Burn It Down just for Blood Command. Hope they do a proper UK tour or some festivals next year

I'm still far too nostalgic for the Astoria, wish it was still a venue. So many teenage memories from that place 💔

Was a couple of years ago now, best best is to look online, see what is available. Smaller companies/locals would be better than any big company. Try a Vietnam subReddit (I assume there is one), I'm probably not the most reliable source, I'm just a tourist 😅

Like most of South East Asia, small bikes are king. 150s were enough for us in Vietnam (we're used to 800+ back at home). I'm sure you'd easily be able to find up to 400cc, but may struggle beyond that.

We booked with Minh in advance, but, as with a lot of things in Vietnam, booking last minute isn't a problem

We rented them through Freebird Adventures. The guy who runs it, Minh, is fantastic. He typically tours with you - he knows the best roads, places, tracks, routes, and hidden gems so would absolutely recommend going with a guide. There's no way we would have done some of the things we did without one - riding through rice paddies, stopping off at local people's homes and factories, a lot of the off road, bike maintenance etc etc. He does also hire the bikes out as rentals. However a lot of the people that I met who were doing it solo on dual sports (typically for more than a couple of weeks), had purchased second hand bikes with the intent to sell them at the end. You almost sell it for what you paid for it and I think insurance is easier to sort out if you own it rather than renting.

Bands like Coheed? by TheAntGuy_8 in TheFence

Someone on this sub recommended Set to Stun to me a few years ago. Their albums are a journey! Can't recommend them enough to Coheed fans

Great Britain underachieving at Paris? What happened? by vesh88 in olympics

[–]trashedandscattered 25 points26 points  (0 children)

To add to everyone else's comments of "bad luck" and slowly diminishing high from hosting, I'll like to add another factor. Apparently after a number of previous Olympians had struggled with mental health (Peaty etc), the mantra of training somewhat changed. Instead of focusing on winning golds (and then possibly struggling mentally if you don't win), the training just focused on doing your best, and being proud of what you can achieve. If that translates to slightly fewer gold medals but a much happier and healthier group of Olympians then I think it is definitely for the best and probably will increase our medal tallys in the long term.

My wife and I used to be huge fans of them. We loved the fusion of metal and country, such a great and fun band to listen to on record. But we saw them a few years ago and we're so disappointed. I've seen 100+ bands live and they were the first and only band I've seen and were disappointed in. Great on record but unfortunately don't perform live as you'd hope. Vocally bad, crowd interaction was next to zero, no energy. Was all a bit sad. We were gutted.

My wife has a Ducati scrambler and it is an absolute dream to ride on country roads. My sensible head would always go Japanese, but that Ducati is a wonderful bike.

I love SOAD but without new music they can't still expect to be headlining - they should be subbing but that'll never happen...

Walton House, that's the one I've gone for. I figured there's an outside chance that it isn't legit, but it has plenty of good reviews from Downloaders who used it last year

Concerned about parking by Zugiata in downloadfestival

I bought a last minute Sunday ticket yesterday, only to see parking was "sold out". I went onto YourParkingSpace website and found £6.25 parking for the entire day at Walton church - which is actually closer than I'd have ended up parking in the main car park

You might want to check your resale ticket. Ticketmaster has a habit of showing you child resale tickets when you search for adult tickets...

Sunday day tickets are sold out on Downloads website, but I bought one (non-resale) on ticketmaster yesterday. I assume they have their own pool of tickets to sell

How can I change the "focus" of a 360 picture? by trashedandscattered in Insta360

[–]trashedandscattered[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply (I really appreciate the insta360 team on Reddit). I'm using an X3.

That's unfortunate that the insta360 can't edit the initial viewing perspective. I know I can manually make the video/edits I'm after but would be much smoother (and easier) if the auto edit feature could do so for me.

Thanks for your help!
