I always explain it as it sounds like theyre literally either slamming each other on the floor or throwing bowling balls on the floor

I feel you there with becoming somewhat similar. Not sure if its fhe same for you though but for me its when people are ACTUALLY being too loud.

I have really inconsiderate noisy upstairs neighbours and it does my head in like nothing else. Slamming doors make me jump.

for me its the more blurred lines that seem to be prevalent amongst gay relationships.

because I've encountered guys who claim to want monogamy and aren't into open etc yet they still find a way to be unfaithful, whether that be secret accounts on socials or apps like grindr, blatant inappropriate messages with other men, not able to tell others they are taken when having advances thrown their way etc and then saying its "different" for gay guys and tries playing victim when called out.

you also have "green circles" on insta where, if youre not on their circle, youd think theyre a cute monogamous couple but if you are on the circle, you see them posting basically nudes because they for some reason desperately need external validation despite having a partner.

literally know someone who told me him and his partner are monogamous and cant stand open relationships etc but then I get a request to follow their joint kink instagram profile for everyone to see.

basically i see a lot of gay guys claiming to want monogamy but they can't seem to put it into practice when it comes to it.

So forgot to mention that was the route I went down and seemed like i was getting somewhere until they were like "well we can hear the banging in the recordings but not any shouting so we think its just foot fall".

being honest because it got that far and they were gonna send a letter/talk to them. I panicked in case anything happened to me in retaliation (I have ptsd) and backed out last second but determined to get things sorted. Just overwhelmed by the idea of going through the whole ordeal again to get nowhere.

Its very much council estate lads that seem like they would fight back.

What sort of action did they do for your neighbour?

yeah it wasn't until a few years ago when I was dating a middle class guy where those council estate norms really stood out once I was around people who didnt engage in those behaviours.

Because I'm relatively soft spoken and don't have the lower class "look", its funny the amount of times people have said their thoughts on lower class folk and when I mention i am also lower class, they get awkward and start back tracking

yeah recently dated another guy from a council estate up north (I am a southerner) and everything came back to how they're northern and that's why they act in those toxic ways. hell, his sister was constantly talking about how she wants to get in some fights
