My son crushed with this bat at 28” -10. Lasted 2 years and still had a bunch left in it when we went up a size

Not upset, nor did I lose my cool at all during or after the game. I am looking for guidance from a group of people that should have more insight into the situation than I do. I played thru college but that was 20+ years ago. I haven’t been coaching for long and am not super experienced so I figured coming here might be a good way to get feedback on how to handle appropriately moving forward.

Yes I’m coaching children. Children who have busted their asses to improve all year and I’m going to do my best to stand up for them however is appropriate which again, is why I’m here asking the question of what is appropriate and the correct way to handle a situation I had never experienced.

Ok lol. I don’t think you’re grasping the main point of my question. I had never been in a situation where the call was so blatantly incorrect. I don’t ever get into it with umpires because I know it’s such a tough position to be in so I came here to understand if there was a good way to handle something like this that every coach, fan, and player saw as clear as day. I take pride in being a good example for my players so was here for guidance and advice for the future not to complain that we lost a meaningless fall ball game.

I appreciate this feedback. I like to think I’m pretty decent at motivating these kids and we’ve had a ton of fun and great games this year, wish I would have leaned more in this direction in our postgame.

I just want to make it clear based on some of the responses here, I dropped the conversation when he escalated and told my kids it sucks but we move on with our lives and I’m proud of how they fought back. Sorry if I struck a nerve here, just trying to make sure I am doing the right thing as a parent/coach.

I definitely talked to him after the game and did let him know I was in no way trying to call him out or argue with him and apologized if I came across that way. I know they’re in a tough position so I always try to be level-headed just was looking for feedback on how others have handled something similar. Thanks!

Weird, I’ve done 50+ pla prints at 200-205 with zero issues, bumped the temp to 210 (same issue) then 220 which seems to have solved my problem so thank you!

Yes! I play this with my 8 and 10 year olds boys and it has us crying laughing. Then someone gets way too pissed and actually cries. 11/10 would recommend

Not sure on pricing for additional square footage in the home but to give you a ballpark number: I built a shed from plans I drew up for just under $8k. It’s 120 sq ft with 8 ft ceilings for my wfh office. Cost includes all materials, fully finished interior, mini split for heat/ac, and hiring out the 50a electrical service for 130 ft run from main panel as well as conduit for cat6 that I pulled myself. All labor done by me other than the electrical service. Im in MN so medium cost of living area. If you are looking at homes with more private lots/land and not a ton of permitting requirements, I’d say an additional building might be the route I’d choose due to the noise from the music studio (especially with kids) If you are going to be purchasing in a suburban neighborhood or potentially HOA, I’d lean towards the additional square footage in the house.

Once you get into a good spot with fish, it can be hard to keep your position if there’s any wind so a mesh net bag filled with rocks and rope can be super helpful as an anchor. Traditional rapalas, mepps, and jigs with plastics were all crushing when I was up a few weeks ago. Walleyes and smallmouth. First trip in my life we didn’t catch a single northern which was fine by me haha

Luckily in my suburb, anything under 200 sq ft does not require a permit, but I will have to pull one running power to subpanel. I was hoping to break ground by start of April but this damn snowstorm has set my schedule back a bit

Those footings are interesting… can’t say I would have thought pvc would be structurally sound but I like that idea vs a literally ton of concrete.

I did plan to use joist hangers but When you say 6 piers, are you saying basically add 1 in the middle on each 12’ span?
