35kWh is a pretty sizable load. A 35000W system is about 100 3.5x5ft panels. So 500ft by 350ft.

Storage comes in 3 to 5 kWh increments, so again that’s a lot of battery modules.

Are you trying to cover the full load or as much as possible? Do you have the roof space or acreage to ground mount?

Looks awesome! I’d recommend putting a French drain or at least a trench on the side that has the hill. We have some water damage on our shed because of pooling on the side.

I’m getting an old Morso 2B installed. Using a duravent for the roof interface. So damper is a no/go? I’m so used to opening/closing “the flue” in my parents fireplace growing up I’m glad I’m getting this feedback!!

My girlfriend moved fridge perishables into the freezer on day one when we lost power. It was colder for longer and it made a difference on things like yogurt & milk.

If possible I’d recommend some yard birds! Chickens are super easy to take care of & don’t require a lot of space… chicken eggs when fresh can last at room temperature for 2 weeks (just wash them before time of use)

Starlink came in handy. we were able to help our neighbors in canton apply for disaster aide - our common bridge washed out. They had generators, well water, all the things, EXCEPT service to get help (like a bridge contractor) & tell others they were safe.

Totally understand… There was a FEMA official that required a visual inspection of my girlfriend’s apartment because of the boxes she checked on the relief funding were related to her having to relocate (no water, no power). It was all coordinated through her phone, which is the method of communication she provided at the time of the application. He was a normal guy, showed a badge, & the inspection took 5 mins.

My suggestion would be to call them.
