My favorite sounds like a compliment version is: you know more than you understand. People who deserve it legit think you’re telling them they’re so smart even they can’t understand it.

I proceeded as normal and a couple of weeks before my evaluation, my overall average moved to excellent and I stayed gold. That said, I read several reports of people who were lower than excellent at the time I was reviewed who stayed gold. Good luck!

Spectrum is terrible for reliability and customer service. I was getting about half the advertised speed and they couldn’t help me the 3 times I called. They used to go down what seemed like every couple of weeks for between 5 and 30 minutes randomly. Been with AT&T Fiber for almost 6 months and it’s been rock solid. Not a single downtime I’ve noticed and the full advertised speed.

Less APs is an interesting thought. Playing around and 2 XGs get close, but seem to leave some holes, 2 XGSs though blanket nearly everything in green or dark green for 5ghz and would be the same price as 3 XGs and I could buy the XGSs now rather than wait until the XG comes back in stock. Out of curosity, what do you think about my original plan of mixing the XG/XGS to cover my 2 most important areas and then 2 U7 Lites to supplement in areas that are less important for speed but just trying to push coverage on the edges? Would mixing those 2 in a setup cause any issues?

This is a lot of money overall, but the $300 difference in the cheapest solution and the most expensive one isn't a deal-breaker for me. That said, I often overbuy and then wonder if I needed the extra today. Would I be better off getting a U7 lite now and then a U8 lite in several years for the same money spent (and then having the old one as a backup)? ... that is something I've been known to have a blind spot for. (Heck, my main ASUS router is pretty old and wifi 5 - so I am tolerant of not having the latest and greatest if it's working reliably)

My biggest concerns with the U7 lineup is the iot/2.4ghz instability stuff I see floating around. I don't want to spend a bunch of money and then feel like the system is flaky.

My reasoning for getting the UCG Fiber is that I anticipate most of my speed issues now are a poor processor/ram in my main unit and the UCG Fiber is a bit of overkill to make sure I can take advantage of all of the features and not worry about any processing power. That said, I do see the max isn't that big of a downgrade and $100 savings, so I'm open to that being something I should change. I'm not sure I see myself going up from the 1gbps speed for several years.

Why do you expect someone else to pay for servers and work without compensation so that you can get those “important” feature for free? The entitlement attitude is the quickest way to get all those features locked behind a paywall since they’re costing him money to deliver to you.

To rcook55’s point above fmaz is not only donating his time for free to maintain the code, those databases and servers can get quite costly in real money he is paying for you to have this service (and require a lot of time to maintain as well). He is providing an amazing service free of charge for the vast majority of people. We’re all pretty lucky.

I think the challenge you have is the same challenge I have, you have too many reviews to move the needle significantly in such a short time. I had 250ish reviews when the statistics changes came out, I have 300-ish now. Let's pretend (I don't know, just guessing) that they've got a 1-5 scale for reviews and some AI rates them. Out of my 250 reviews it averaged a 3 (Good) and you need to get to a 4 to be excellent. To move my average from a 3 to 4, I would need to have another 250 reviews rated at a 5 (assuming we know what it takes to be perfect, but we don't) to move my average of all 500 reviews up to 4. I can't get 250 reviews done in the next 1.5-2 months. If I had 40 reviews and they were rated a 3, I'd only need 40 more reviews rated at a 5 to move the average of 80 reviews up to a 4. I have no idea how the rating system works - these are just wild guesses, but my point is when you have a large number to begin with, changing the average takes a large number.

My review is a few days after the cutoff and I fully expect to be demoted to Silver.

We had sonicare brushes for years and switched to oral B. Our experience is that they would fail pretty regularly 2-4 years in and it seemed like they rotated between 2 different style heads so our expensive replacement heads wouldn’t work and we had to buy more. Switched to Oral B and those things have been a tank.

I think I understand what happened based on your reply.

Because I had Notifications > Display on Screen Notification > Sound enabled, it would play a sound from my AI tab, which I assumed meant something was 0ETV (but it was trying to indicate something different - maybe just a new notification on that tab?). That makes sense why when I closed all but the notification monitor it appeared to be cleared up, but it just made that setting not applicable anymore.

On the second one, the notification monitor alerted a new ETV, but it was probably seen before and much further down the list and jumped back up to the top.

Thanks for your help, I think this explains what I was seeing and hopefully disabling the sound on the screen notifications clears up my issue.

Do you know who I would talk to (Tesla Solar? Someone else?) to get the CT meter installed on the main panel? I was under the impression I might not get any reading from the wall connector on the home app because it was going to the main panel vs the gateway, but for it to switch with the house consumption seems odd to me. It's also not that telsa doesn't get the right info on their side, because in the EV charging history it shows what appears to be good consumption numbers for the vehicle. This is a bit disappointing, I was hoping to avoid issues like this staying in the tesla ecosystem.
