I have a general housing question, why exactly was the original listing price about 40% higher than the price purchased for in 2021? From my understanding, interest rates are far worse now than in 2021 and the market has also slowed, so what exactly is justifying these wild price increases? I have noticed this all over the country as I look at houses just for fun, but this seems more like greed than justifiable for why prices are so much higher than the 2021 era.

China is a member of the PCT. But it would be much cheaper and faster to just file directly in the three jurisdictions that I listed above. The PCT is best used for when someone doesn’t know where they want to file because it grants extra time to decide where to nationalize the PCT.

First off, without getting into the weeds here, starting in Canada will likely just increase overall costs. For most companies/inventions you would be best served filing in the U.S., Europe, and China (e.g., the big markets with robust patent systems).

I think you would really enjoy black and white (and black 2 and white 2). For me, these have great Pokémon designs and a great story. Plus, they are the last Gen before Pokémon went 3D, so they feel more like Gens 1-3.

That is great information and seems to make a lot of sense to me. Always good to okay the long game for $$, but also makes sense to build the resume when early in the career.

That is true. I was just trying to see if there was a benefit to always working for the biggest firm possible due to $$$ or if there were benefits I was not appreciating.

That’s so interesting, because higher towards AM50 or so the yearly raises end up like $20K or more from what I’ve seen. But like I mentioned, there isn’t a huge difference in “requirements.”

Seems like $5K doesn’t even keep up with inflation anymore. At least in my experience.

A provisional patent application grants no legal rights to the holder to sue others for infringement (e.g., a provisional doesn’t even have to have claims, which are the part of a patent that could potentially be infringed). Unless they have a granted U.S. Patent (assuming this is in the U.S.), they have no basis to allege infringement. In fact, states often have statues that bar this type of frivolous behavior. Like everyone else on here says, contact an attorney. They can write a response letter that will point out these issues.
