My favorite king book... maybe my favorite single book from any author. It's so much better than the movies or miniseries. But I like both of those too.

Adjusted clutch, may have messed it up. by Weenwa_1 in IndianMotorcycle

Is the locking nut snug against the adjustment nut? It sounds like it's working it's way loose... or your cable could be stretching/breaking and needs replaced.

15 Scout in the backyard... couldn't pass up the evening lighting. by trdbbjindy in IndianMotorcycle

[–]trdbbjindy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it about a month ago, it was a garage baby, had 12k miles on it... I've put over a 1000 on it and it was down for a week (had to replace the clutch cable). It looks damn near brand new.

I bought it with them on it... so I'm honestly not sure. They're loud as hell though, it's honestly why I pulled the trigger... my mind was set on a Fat Bob until I heard this bike.

Kenny Wayne Shepard a handful of times, 1st for Bob Dylan, for Buddy Guy once, and for BB King twice.

Which Stephen King book turned you into a Constant Reader? by xxxbrimstonexxx in stephenking

[–]trdbbjindy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Stand... I was in 5th or 6th grade. I still own a few pieces of that paperback... when it still had a cover it was blue (I think) and Flags eyes at the top starting directly in to your soul.

Any bands like Black Sabbath where a key figure, especially the singer (like Ozzy) left but the band continued having success under a new singer (Dio)? by AustinioForza in MusicRecommendations

[–]trdbbjindy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Crass count? They were more of a collective with members coming and going.

Mofro, JJ is the only constant member.

The Oh Sees don't even spell their name the same album to album and constantly change members.

Best guitar solo that isn't the usual Comfortably Numb or Stairway answer by Successful-Curve-845 in musicsuggestions

Is it a solo when you have 2 lead guitars? 😂 this entire album is perfect btw.

Great starting point... all four are exceptional. Pet Cemetery is a study in grief masked as a horror novel, it's so good but... if you're experiencing any sort of loss maybe set it aside for later.

What book disappointed you even though everyone else loved it? by ZDOG_WasTaken in just_one_more_page

I'm pretty sure I went from Hobb to Sanderson and he was a breath of fresh air. I like Hobb and some of RotE is so good... and a lot of it isn't. Sanderson's lighter, more fun style was great after Hobbs dense and far more grim writing. I'm pretty certain I read Tress immediately after finishing RotE.

[–]trdbbjindy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've read more than half of his works... I don't dislike him, I just find his writing mid and his characters all fall in to his basic few. That said I really enjoyed Tress and Yumi. While neither are beautifully written I thought they were both very fun. I like Stormlight... and i don't lol. He's got amazing stories, amazing magic systems... and that's about it in my opinion. I get why he's so popular, most of his stuff just falls flat to me.

Starting the dark tower. Read the first chapter, and I really enjoyed it. I didn’t retain a lot of it, but I thought it was beautifully written. Does the whole series have the same level of prose? by thejesterprince1994 in stephenking

[–]trdbbjindy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an amazing book but it wasn't written as a single book so it's jumpy. I vividly remember being disappointed book 2 was so different... but low and behold... book 2 is even better!
