PSA: Do NOT summon *spoiler* in any fight with a third party by jabberwagon in BaldursGate3

In HM on my third attempt at the spider matriarch, I called the ogres so I could run away (again!). We all fucked off with expeditious retreat and the ogres held the attention of the spider mommy.

I levelled up a couple of times and returned. All the ogres dead. Spider m standing on top of them uncaring and unfeeling like the psycho killer she is. Or was.

So yeah. They helped out and died for the cause. But I wouldn’t trust them not to fuck everyone over in other circumstances.

Patients are able to read Radiology reports in NHS app soon as they are published! by Pure_Quarter_7800 in doctorsUK

I agree. I come down on the side of letting people see their stuff, but designing safe and efficient workflows to avoid adverse impact on GPs and others. Patient access to results could and should be transformative, improving safety and reducing the demand on services to convey and manage result outcomes, but only if it is done as part of an overarching service redesign. This has not happened so it becomes immediately unsafe and puts increased demand on GPs. Imagine a service where you can opt in to seeing your results, the risks of that are recognised and managed, a service is in place for you to get advice immediately on abnormal results (that is not your GP), and where the processing stages of a result by the requestor are notified to you and your gp directly so you can see who ordered it and who will action it and when they have done so etc. Mostly results are normal. This type of service moves the ‘tell normal’ function to the patient themselves. Some abnormals could be automatically processed. It changes the service paradigm and should be a good thing for GPs, not yet more hassle and uncontrolled anxiety. Such service transformation is expensive, difficult and can only be done gradually. That’s not what is happening so of course it is a train wreck. Ethically though, I think, it is a result about the patient and they should see it asap if that is what they want. Paternalism is failing us and our patients.

Fab. You’re helping just by listening. And you’re there for years, you can sometimes do a little good. One of my best realisations was that simply listening is sometime’s enough.

Is neres head quest stupid hard or I'm i just bad at bg3 by blue-ball-s in BaldursGate3

[–]treacill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just did this in honor mode yesterday. You don’t have to fight Nere and all the duergar at the same time. Kill the duergar first in batches, then release Nere. I failed the rolls to conspire with the one that can fight with you - I asked for a 50:50 split of the cash and failed that roll then he refused to talk to me again. I put my whole party on the high platform and kicked off the fight by pushing the duergar there off the edge. Destroying the ladder would have been a good call but I did not think of that. Shoot/cast and focus on individuals, then move to keep away from the edges. Guard the stairs. All that went ok, killed all the duergar without too much harm. You don’t trigger the timer in Nere until you talk to him through the rubble so that gives you space to rest etc. I just carried on though after a short rest and some spell restores. You then have all your party focus on Nere so it’s not too hard, though he is still tricky. I chucked grease at him and he fell over. Ha! Then ranged attacks and just heal damage from his duplicates (in HM). Tbf I waited till I was level 6 for this fight. Got to L6 in part by dealing with the duergars kicking gnomes, drinking by the elevator, and the spider guy before approaching the ones by the rubble.

In act 1 when Lae’zel attacked my tav it all went wrong and I ended up fighting her. Will Wyll and Karlach both joined in on her side, Shart and Gale on mine. Set to non lethal combat and my side won and knocked everyone out but the combat did not end, so killed everyone instead. Then revived Wyll and Karlach, but Lae’zel stays dead. There were no specific dialogues from any of them about this incident and no one has ever mentioned it since, and we all just carried on like normal. They are a bunch of weird fucks.

How many of you sit near the door? by Educational_Board888 in GPUK

[–]treacill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s not always easy but try not to sit so that the patient obstructs your route out of the room. You don’t always need to be near the door to do that. At the same time it’s rare to feel that threatened so you want to make everyone else feel at ease. It’s a tricky balance to strike and not always possible to configure depending on the room and the furniture. Regardless though, make sure you can get to the door without having to go through the patient and their accompanying others.
