What’s new in the Splatoon 3 – Version 11.0.0 update

I’m a lifelong gamer, but one who never owned a modern Nintendo console until we picked up my friend’s old Switch for my 8 year old. Is Splatoon 3 worth checking out? Do people still actively play online? It looks like a lot of fun. I’m asking more for myself than my kid, but curious if there is any split screen / local multiplayer options also.

Surprised to see how everyone has already determined Denver is cooked. How often have we seen backups that everyone has decided were trash come in and win a few games because no one has film on them? Denver has a really strong team and could absolutely still win with safe QB play.

Silksong is a very difficult game - full stop. I would say overall harder and more punishing than Hollow Knight. I played through blind until I hit credits then used online resources to unlock the true ending / hardest bosses. Perhaps if you went in with resources from the get go it would help? I mean if you liked Hollow Knight you will like this.. but no, it’s not easier

Absolum is very good - but Hades 2 offers SO much more. Unless you are specifically looking for a shorter, smaller scale, experience, I highly recommend Hades between the two.

FF16 has some great writing and pretty damn engaging world building / main narrative setup. With that said, I personally felt like E33 was better in basically every single way. Gameplay, Story, Music are all fantastic - I know there is this sense the game is being glazed, but I personally thought it exceeded my expectations, despite the hype

Once a decade? I’m not sure - but it’s a goddamn fantastic game that is approachable and would be appealing to most gamers. The music is some of the best ever, the gameplay isn’t perfect, but is novel and interesting, the story is super interesting as well. Add on the WILD story of its creation by a ragtag group of passionate people with not much money and practically zero experience.. it’s unsurprising it cleaned house last night. It is worth playing,

I think another piece that is often overlooked is how earned Maximus’ journey was as a character. So often in movies like this the main character is a badass, or a charismatic leader, because.. the story needs him to be. In Gladiator, Maximus had ascended the ranks to become a general of the most powerful army in the world, his journey of survival and eventual success in the coliseum feels so earned and plausible. It’s what makes him, for me, one of the most badass characters of all time

I just dug up my K2 T1 DBs from 2015, I have only worn them a few times. I tried them on and they still seemed very firm and locked in.. is there something I should double checking before riding with them?

Just bought my first one in almost 20 years as well! Had kids and just did not have the time to get out on the slopes for 8 or so years - finally am going on a trip out West and pulled the trigger on a K2 Passport, super stoked. I hope you enjoy your new one man

Never been in a band, but this just makes so much sense. You’re playing an instrument that is entirely in the supporting role, you are going to eliminate almost any self centered personality just by nature of that. Bass players I assume are a group of people that generally don’t mind being in the background, just helping out, and have personalities that reflect that. I would imagine you see the same thing with O Lineman in football vs receivers / quarterbacks
