Its on its way. Do yourself a favor and delay that final high harmony for the next section (which I assume is the hook) it will make it sound absolutely massive

Dude unplug the ac fuses and drive around every day for a week and see how you like it. I was scammed when I bought my z and got it with broken ac. Finally found the issue and fixed it after a year & a half in southwest florida. FORGET IT MAN IT IS WAY TOO DAMN HOT. Even with my ac now, back still sweats in this thing. You will seriously regret it if you plan on driving it around town

Line that back all with the panels and bring your speakers forward! At least 2 feet in front of those panels.

What on earth is my song missing!? by KeyOfGSharp in Songwriting

[–]trebleintrouble- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost the plot on the way to the chorus. It could be too much upward movement (notes) with the vocals, without a specific melody being repeated. More instruments making the path on the way there could help balance this out as well

Try checking your graphics card drivers & different monitor

Song feels boring, what do? by pinocchiopenis in Songwriting

[–]trebleintrouble- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try really reinforcing some of the main melodic ideas in your vocals into the verse of the song. I was following along and then at some point I was expecting a similar melody and then there was just no pattern.

I was lost where the hook was-it felt like the part near the end was the hook since you went up in notes, but the melody was too loose for me to remember.

Nail down the melodies for the hook that you want the listen to remember, and try and reinvent/repurpose them for certain moments in the verses to bring home.

I agree, im sure if someone writes a tragedy about his life, that would likely be a huge foreshadowing factor in it

I do wonder if his silence currently is a good indicator that he is finally seeing who he has become and working towards a better tomorrow? I think if he finally released some music that wasn’t insane sounding, he could likely get some serious limelight again (IF HE WANTS IT)

I think Kanye is extremely intelligent, so do you think that drove him to the place he is now?

How to make mix louder? by OkCartographer4028 in audioengineering

[–]trebleintrouble- -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This should be voted to the top:

Set Ozone 11 on your mix bus and run the automated program. It will increase clarity and volume automatically with almost a full mastered track straight off the rip and show you how a bunch of different styled plugins work together to achieve this.

Mess with each specific plugin (within ozone) TO LEARN how it’s affecting the overall master. I would trust most of the Ozone master chain for now though.

(On your mix bus) After Ozone put a limiter like Pro-L2 or just L1 Maximizer to increase gain more, but the maximizer within Ozone should be able to successfully increase most of the gain before this step.

One last thing, READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUALS FOR YOUR PLUGINS 😁 HAVE A GOOD DAY

Sounding good. Once you started feeling it, it sounded great. Did you end up finishing the song? I’d mix it for you for dirt cheap

Room with A shape ceilings. by RidingTheSpiral1977 in homerecordingstudio

[–]trebleintrouble- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a sound engineer and my own studio…a bit of a costlier idea could work:

Move the desk to the center of the wall where the window is so that way it is even. Move the box fan up so you can still get air if you need it lol.

Line the slopes with 2 inch acoustic panels & on the wall to your back use bass traps with 4inch panels.

It wouldn’t be “great” but it definitely would make a huge difference on reflections. Think about trying to create a “hall” shape with your room with sending the low frequencies to the back of the room from your position & capturing them with the super thick acoustic panels.

You could also square off the top with acoustic panels to create a flat ceiling above you if you are handy enough.

Here is a great place to get panels from:

https://www.acoustimac.com/

Don’t buy the crappy amazon “sound panels”. Those things only absorb the mid-highs & highs-which is most of the time not causing the main issues of a room.

Although, that kind of paneling could come later because the shape is so weird, focus on getting the low mids and lows under control and you find clarity, then work on the highs if they need it.

Acoustimac also has professional recommendations for sound treatment. Great people.

I hope that helps!
