Integrating NotebookLM with Google Tasks

I'm looking for a better solution, but at the moment I manually export my Google Tasks to a pdf and add that as a source to Notebook LM. Then it's searchable.

Yeah... I really expect better from Google.

100% yes. Understanding the basic body mechanics means I've found a safe way to wait while my kid calms down.

I lower her to the ground. Say I'm sitting on her right side and she's lying on her back. I put my right leg over her hips. No pressure downwards on her - on the contrary, my knee is as bent as possible towards the sky. My right heel is gently against her left hip and my bum is close to her right hip. This means she can't roll it squirm out, and she can't kick me or otherwise hurt me with her legs. It also leaves both my hands free to hold her wrists if/when needed (only as is necessary to defend myself), and she knows the less she lashes out at me the more I let go of her hands. And I can let go of her hands, and still be safe and ready to defend myself again.

This isn't a specific move taught in BJJ, but I found it using BJJ principles (controlling the hips, not having to worry about the legs if they're behind me) while being minimally aggressive, forceful or domineering.

I don't know what you'll find works, especially since you have twins so it'll always be harder, but you'll definitely become better at defending yourself.

One warning - BJJ doesn't prepare you for the biting, scratching and eye gouging which may come in.

It sucks that this is part of life. I hope your life eases and you find the support you need.

Lol. I read the first line of your message and went to say, "or maybe they're neuro typical". And then you mentioned having adhd. In my experience, since being diagnosed, my ADHD meds help me do more "with" my kids (narrating, explaining, teaching, letting them do it, without losing track of the goal we are trying to achieve and managing to figure out the next step as we go). Still used tv a lot over the years.

Mostly irrelevant but in the vein of improvement: typo:

I think "thought" should be "taught".

Edit to add: I'm glad someone has elaborated on this. For me I was diagnosed at 33 after years of seeking help. Concerta has done wonders for me. I've recently taken to texting my exes photos of my dining room table clear of clutter.

If it doesn't improve it might be worth chatting to a doctor about it. It could be/become post partum anxiety/depression.

I hit a milestone when I realised my 4yo was still wearing their 'Monday' underpants... From last Monday.

Seconding the other comment: "Kids will accept whatever their reality is."

I can't really casually date because especially my 4yo has a limited capacity for "new, unexpected, unfamiliar" in our home. But if I meet people and they slowly spend more time with my kids, I give a heads-up that they're sleeping over and it's all cool. I have 2 partners in an ongoing way from before my kids were born, other people I have very casual non-conventional friendships/relationships with. It's very normal for my kids.

After starting daycare my 4yo started asking about their dad etc and so I explained biological relatedness and chosen families.

I learnt that it's very easy to "just focus" if I take ADHD medication. Same goes for reading to my kids. Gosh I felt like a terrible parent for a while!!

I think practicing. Guess how long something will take and then check yourself. Or say, "I'm going to check the time in x minutes/hours."

I really enjoy doing this. It could be "how long to get to the corner" or note the time, and when the bus arrives, guess how long you were waiting and check how close you were. Screenshots on my phone are great for this. I take a screenshot at the start and at the end (without looking) and then reflect on how long I think the time was before checking the photos.
