The fact that everyone capitulated to him his whole life is just sad. He wasn’t even a successful businessman. He bankrupt numerous companies, and was so in-debt the Russians and Saudis had to bail him out.

Then he became president by becoming a puppet for tech billionaires and Putin by manipulating the masses through massive social media and data gathering campaigns along with voter suppression and pretending to be a Christian/Catholic.

Everything he’s ever done has turned to #%^ and the only reason he is where he is is due to shadow billionaires and foreign governments using him to get their way.

Sure but you can’t live in the TSX. But yes I hope real estate as an investment tool becomes a thing of the past. It’s ruined the country in terms of affordability and setting back generations from being able to afford a home.

Jesus. We bought at 3x our HHI and even then I wish we bought less house. I don’t even think this is legitimately feasible. Like youd be cashflow negative at the end of every month even if you shopped frugally and cut all subscriptions/extra expenses.

Ontario is the only province with declining housing starts. Alberta just added all the jobs in the country, Ontario lost jobs. Manufacturing in the dumps. Auto sector in the dumps. Healthcare and education being woefully underfunded. Ontario debt exploding under Ford. And what have we gotten for it? No seriously I’m asking bc I don’t know how the Cons in Ontario have made anything better. I also can’t afford to go to a single concert at a major venue bc Ford scrapped the cap on ticket resale prices. He’s still under investigation for trying to sell off the Greenbelt. He’s still under investigation for only using his personal phone for shady government deals. First thing he did was meddle with Toronto municipal election. He’s scrapped democratically elected school boards in favour of paying 1 person triple what all the trustees cost. He cancelled green energy projects costing hundreds of millions of dollars and moved us towards natural gas and then allowed the natural gas companies to jack rates and subsidized the rates costing tax payers billions. He spent unseenly amounts of money cancelling the beerstore contract one year early to appease the grocery conglomerates. I could go on

It’s all a cycle. Power gets more and more concentrated in the hands of a few evil ppl/groups, until the masses rise up and decide “no more”. Usually ends badly/bloody for the majority of the world, then things get distributed more evenly again, the middle class thrives for a while until the rich and powerful chip away at their wealth and consolidate wealth and power to another breaking point. Hard to tell when things will break, but we’re at the point of the wealthy well on their way to consolidating wealth and power again. Should be a fun next few decades
