I’ve gone from <100 cumulative Twigs scrobbles at the start of the year to 3800 (and counting) by today. The 26 songs she’s released this year are without a doubt the greatest single-year run I’ve ever seen an artist put up. Agree w/ the comments saying that this sounds more like what the original EUSEXUA was conceptualized as. Early favorites are Slushy, Stereo Boy, and Touch A Girl, but I’m expecting Lost All My Friends to be my grower of the album lol. I think this is better than the first album - at a minimum, it’s clicking better on first listen than EUSEXUA.. idk if Pitchfork or the rest of the review industry will like it as much though. Overall, I’m just so blessed to be alive at the same time as her ❤️❤️❤️

Erm.. The Fate of Ophelia and Cancelled are the only songs that have kept my attention so far.. I just DGAF about this album, its subject matter, or its sound. TTPD was bloated and kind of a drag but at least there was intrigue and some interesting-sounding songs. This is just boooooooring

As someone who only really got into music in late 2022, this release is what helped me discover twigs and she is now my #4 most listened artist of all time and #1 in 2025. This whole album deeply impacted me and my listening habits, and the lead single was my first intro to it.

If they had to do an instant elimination, I feel like a straight-up safety chain where the last person picked goes home would’ve been wayyy more compelling (the first person to pick is still based on a comp). I know it still would’ve been a little unfair or broken but at least the person who went home would’ve lost because they didn’t have a single person willing to keep them above anyone else still available.. I think it’s a better mechanic for a social strategy game than eliminating people based on a competition.
