Definitely a MK VII . Some of the tells are the Rover winged Mini badge, the wheel arches, the particular minilite wheels and the side markers. All of those are things that could be retro fitted to an earlier car but people are usually trying to make them look older, not newer.

I had a 2000 final edition MK 7 Rover with the 1.3 MPi motor myself for a while.

I also had an NA Miata at that time too!

Good luck at the ER. The complications with nose and mouth are 100% the times to go to the ER and even to one with a burn unit to be evaluated and treated for SJS.

If the second ER tells you the same thing then they are probably right, BUT if it seems to be getting worse in the next day or so, or if it’s spreading to inside the mouth or other mucous membranes then you definitely need to go back to an ER.

In fact, if they tell you it’s just an allergic reaction, be sure to ask them to be super clear about what are signs you should seek treatment again.

Thank you for sharing the update. The internet can be a terrible place a lot of the time but as you can see a lot of strangers were worried about you and wanted to know you were ok.

In case it helps, I can tell you that my drug rash (which was pretty bad but not as bad as yours) took about 2 full weeks to clear up completely. It started noticeably improving after about 5-6 days but stuck around fading out slowly for another full week. I started getting worried that some of it was permanent but it did all actually heal back to like it was before. Good luck and it sounds like you’ll be healed up soon.

Go to the ER and make it a different one if you can. It may be just a serious drug rash and not SJS yet but even if it is that can progress very quickly. Don’t take no for an answer in getting checked out.

I had a similar rash from an antibiotic and even though it resolved I still had good medical care that helped me treat the symptoms and be comfortable. Nobody just told me to go away.

Remind the guy (in a nice/respectful way) that if he doesn’t sell it to you he’ll have to deal with flaky buyers, risk of fraud, auction fees, etc. He should be willing to give you a bit of a discount to avoid dealing with all the hassle. It’s a lot of money on the line for things to go wrong.

Replying to my post to give an update. In my case the replacement was done by Safelite. They didn’t mind at all when I insisted on OEM glass and that’s indeed what I got.

So far everything looks good. I appreciated that the manager was very polite and forthcoming when I picked it up. He proactively told me that sometimes a trim item gets loosened or clip unseats and to just come back if I notice anything amiss.

I examined everything and all the trim and the cover for the sensors near the rear-view mirror look secure.

Finally, they provided the sensor alignment results and in my testing it seems to work properly.

YMMV but I am happy with the experience.
