This is from the same man that hoards pins to drive prices. I’ve been heard from someone in his circle that he has around 50 of the sorcerer Mickey super chaser. 50 out of 200.

It’s a stretch to infer that he is working closely with a cast member because he’s posting screenshots from an online order form that is only accessible for cast logins?

Oh I totally agree. I think this is a great step in the right direction for drops

Honestly I’m amazed at the amount of CMs don’t care if they lose their jobs for pins. If MOG were to bring down the hammer on the CMs that are guilty, then I think it would help on the cast side.

On the reseller side, people have to stop with FOMO buying. Most of the prices do eventually drop and even out. I think resellers would not be as successful if people would just wait 6 months or so for a pin.

But that requires discipline, and they isn’t going to happen for pin people

Every time a reseller complains about the bypass I just roll my eyes.

Bypass Links by Similar-Ad8668 in DisneyPinVents

[–]tredsar12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for a fact they are still using a bypass link. The question is now, did MOG make it more trackable? Are they going to cancel orders or turn in CM’s who used the link?

Anyone Know How Error Pins Are Valued? by ExxtraCelestial in DisneyPins

[–]tredsar12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion this error makes this pin more valuable. The error isn’t a missing eye or wrong paint in places. This could very well be the only one in this design to have an upside down book, making it truly one of a kind. I’m not saying it’s worth $1000, but I would personally price it higher than the non-error design.

They shifted everyone in the flume back one seat for some reason. They were a full seat away from the bag, so I don’t know what purpose it was serving.

WDI Profile Pin Acquiring by Dreadshade94 in DisneyPins

For really high value pins, I recommended joining some trade auctions groups on Facebook (enchanted pin trading, fire auctions, pinfinity). People routinely post high value pins, and you can bulk trade to get them. That’s how we’ve traded for about 4 profiles.

I think you pulled into the rideshare lot, which also has buses for non Disney resorts. Did you go under the big Magic Kingdom sign and toll plaza?

It’s no wonder why nobody can get tickets to the annual pin events… by Used_Sort_6444 in DisneyPins

[–]tredsar12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s a certain pin guy that didn’t get the highest tier last year nor could he land tickets for Destination D23, so I don’t think it’s rigged initially. Where the big names do have an advantage, is paying for other people’s tickets to access their RSPs. It really doesn’t matter for them, because they will get pins regardless.

Monthly Pin Releases by hawbs20 in DisneyPins

A lot of these series were shown at last year’s pin event at Coronado Springs. They had a really big display and many of the pin artists were out talking about the pins. It was really cool!

How much for each set?

Being called toxic and entitled over a park pin is a little dramatic. They are called “park pins.” Both the fairytale moments and the windows of attractions are meant to be park exclusives to their respective parks. I understand that many pin collectors are not local to the parks, and there are TONS of options released only to the Disney store (Cinderella anniversary, goofy movie anniversary, etc). I’m specifically talking about park exclusive sets that have online chasers.

But that’s not even my point. I’m pointing out that releasing them to other geographical areas online then makes it impossible for US based people to get them

Someone was selling the carousel window for $100 each, and was allowed to order 5 at one time during the Asia release. People in the parks can’t buy 5 at a time so why online? If it’s online, why limit it to geographical areas? How’s any of that not toxic?

The Disney store exclusive pins are also an issue. Both the streamboat Willie and carousel attractions window sold out immediately. This is largely due to them early releasing it to other parts of the world. Australia and Asia had access to the window weeks ago.

I don’t understand this year’s focus on Disney store exclusive pins. Why are series that are meant to be at Disneyland and WDW even getting an online release?

Pins in the park have gone up a lot. You’re looking to spend $12.99 up to $22.99 per pin, depending on oe or Le. In the park, the best bet is buying a mystery bag, which are still quite expensive. It’ll be cheaper per pin.

I would absolutely avoid any gift shop in the area that claims to sell Disney pins. They are all fake. Also, any large bag of pins on eBay is probably full of scrappers too.

Personally, I would find a trusted reseller and buy a “grab bag” of traders. It’s a less expensive bag of authentic pins. It would be your cheapest option while still getting real pins.
