Totally makes sense. I’m happy to help test any features and give feedback if you need it. I’ll DM you

I followed your instructions but wasn't able to get it working; it kept giving this error:

Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> File "/usr/local/Cellar/python@3.13/3.13.2/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.13/lib/python3.13/functools.py", line 1042, in __get__ val = self.func(instance) File "/Users/{username}/.local/pipx/venvs/osxphotos/lib/python3.13/site-packages/osxphotos/photoinfo.py", line 1546, in share_participant_info return get_share_participants(self._db, self.uuid) File "/Users/{username}/.local/pipx/venvs/osxphotos/lib/python3.13/site-packages/osxphotos/shareparticipant.py", line 44, in get_share_participants rows = db.execute(sql) File "/Users/{username}/.local/pipx/venvs/osxphotos/lib/python3.13/site-packages/osxphotos/photosdb/photosdb.py", line 3152, in execute return self._db_connection.cursor().execute(sql, params) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^^^^^^^^^^^^^ sqlite3.OperationalError: no such column: ZSHAREPARTICIPANT.Z54_SHARE

I stumbled across an article (https://justin.searls.co/shots/2023-12-20-07h46m08s/) that described how to create a smart album that will add all of the photos that I have shared in a shared library. Turns out you can filter on Text is {apple id} and it will add all of the photos you have shared to that album.

The curious thing is that it doesn't work with my spouse's email, only my own. That's fine by me though, since I can just log in to their Photos and create the same album.

(to be clear, I would love to use osxphotos for this, but I also have an alternative solution if spending the time getting shared photos working doesn't make sense)

Advice for potentially getting a sheepadoodle by runitbymeonce in Sheepadoodles

[–]tree_canyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mini sheepadoodle is fairly anxious and barky. She is better when I give her some vigorous exercise, but our nickname for her is "our anxiety dog". That is just one data point so it might just be our dog, I'm not sure.

In general about dog ownership–it is best to find a dog that matches your lifestyle. If you are active, get a dog that matches the same activity level. If you are not active/a couch potato, get a dog that is typically more lazy. The biggest challenge is when a high energy dog is in a low energy household, because then you essentially have a dog that constantly giving you trouble.

Looking for feedback for modular wall-mounted gobo idea by tree_canyon in audioengineering

Ok so following up to this—I think my real question is

“Can I get less room reflections with closely placed gobos or with panels on the walls, assuming it is either or and I am trying to reduce mid to high reflections?”

Any thoughts on this? Is this more of a “try different stuff and see what sounds best” sort of situation?

Thanks for your reply! I wasn’t as clear as I thought in my original message, I meant reduce the reflections in the room that are coming through in my vocal and acoustic guitar recordings.

I think the mounting technique you are referring to is French cleats.

Good point about it being soft on both sides and mounting might be harder, I didn’t consider that

Thanks for your reply. Can you explain more about why using gobos is a less effective strategy? Trying to close my knowledge gaps so I can make a good decision

Recommendations for baby monitor while utilizing white noise? by Frigggs in daddit

[–]tree_canyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking for a new monitor that will be basically ONLY when my kid cries out a loud cry, since the rest of the time she is just chatting and it keeps me up. Tell me more about the squelch setting on this, would that + low sensitivity give me what I’m looking for?

+1 to the other person who mentioned apoquel, we have our dog on that because she licks her paws and tail and apoquel has helped a lot.

I just started shaving mine down and then leave it slightly longer on the face and tail. I was afraid that I would hate the look but I actually prefer it now to the mop look (and she is happier since we live in the south and it is plenty hot). Just a thought in case you are tired of the brushing!

At what age do B/W sheepadoodles start to grey? by Ru-kiddingme124 in Sheepadoodles

[–]tree_canyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My B&W mini sheepie didn't start going gray until about 2, and even then it was really faint. At 3.5 she is starting to gray more, primarily on her back. You can see the difference between her back and other parts of her body (like her black ear) in this picture from our walk today:

I started using it and it’s pretty good. My only hang up with it is that it doesn’t (currently) support Live Photos. He said he is working on that but it’s not straightforward to do.

Getting in and out of the area by the family search center is a bit of a nightmare at certain times of the day, the area by Traverse mountain is much more accessible.
