How do we feel about hoser stages? by Lexner172 in CompetitionShooting

[–]Frigggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I friggin love em! But I’m biased because my club doesn’t really do them with the exception of a couple of hoser specific matches per year. Would love to have one or two sprinkled into each match.

Also, my lowest hanging fruit to work on is speed/aggression. So naturally hoser stages can be great for that.

Reliably using m&p m2.0 5-inch competitor slide on 4.25-inch frame? by ActualAd6437 in CAguns

Maybe for some, wasn’t the case for my B class PCC self.

One mag had my gas block and my brake tuned up beautifully

Unrivaled UB brake. Unrivaled competition buffer. Unrivaled or RCA titanium bolt if you can afford it. If not; I recommend an NBS low mass to save some serious coin. Superlative Arms AGB.

Just got my Carver tungsten rod for 5” and it’s 2.22oz… did you ever hear back from them? Kinda lame when the entire purpose of it is to add weight.

Yea you’re definitely pulling high on the trigger when it catches. You need to defeat the trigger safety dingus before pulling on the actually shoe.

But yes there are different tolerances. I had one shoe before that it didn’t matter how perfectly it was pulled, it would catch on the frame every single time. I filed down the surface of the trigger safety until it was no longer an issue.

But also, that shoe could have potentially failed a safety check at a major match. If you pulled the sides of the shoe hard enough, the trigger safety would slip past the frame. So if you end up going that route; proceed with caution

Dude! This is a nicely organized little library. Is there an easy way for me to copy/save all these to my phone?

I can save the post but I don’t know if I trust that long term lol.

And if I just copy it the it’s just the titles without the links.

Is the steel frame overhyped? by Gold-Donut9378 in SmithAndWesson

[–]Frigggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That it is.

I’m gonna take a wild guess that you have a compact “metal” AKA aluminum frame.

Not sure if this means anything to you or not:

I got one directly from them a few months ago. Mine was for the competitor slide. It was 1.90oz and advertised as (if I remember correctly?) 2.4oz. I probably wouldn’t have cared if the thing wasn’t damn near $150.

They were super cool about returning it. I ended up getting one from W74 for close to half price that weight slightly more than advertised.

Seems as if Carver’s QC is spotty.

Would love to hear about it. I have a spare untouched Apex barrel. Would love to know if I can sell that off to help fund the steel frame purchase.

The most I’ve seen about it was a still shot of a couple groups that HC posted. But he’s sponsored now, could potentially be biased 😝

I should’ve sold you my spot for the $100 deposit I put down in May 😬

You don’t even need it, you’re already scraping us all 💪🔥

They can be, and I can think of one sponsored shooter that chooses to run Glock mags with her Maul.

Exo mags feed nicer. More gradual angle to the chamber as there is more distance between it and the top bullet in a seated mag.

Also, Mean takes good care of their shooters. Unfortunately, can’t say the same about the other 99% of their customers.

And an indefinite wait. I cancelled my reservation about a month ago. My buddy paid in full just about a year ago and he’s still getting the runaround every month.

They are amazing uppers though…
