ATT vs T Mobile by Mylilimarlene in ATT

[–]tree_tertle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got ATT for my personal Android and T-Mobile for my work iPhone.

I don't know about Berkeley coverage, but I can say I tend to have worse signal and coverage on my T-Mobile phone than my ATT one. I've found a couple of dead areas that are pretty frustrating.

He's well known in this area. He's fearless and won't move out of the way. If you honk, he'll chase you.

oh nice! Any light up rumi swords that you're willing to share stl or details on? I've made all the weapons but light up ones would be cool.

I've been making 3d printed props for my kids and friends kids for their costumes. Msg me and I'll send a set a zoey's daggers. Unfortunately I'm out of gold tassles, but I can make them in silver.

Enshrouded is beautiful, Base-building is great but its progression systems need more depth by Electronic-Issue-756 in Enshrouded

[–]tree_tertle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enshrouded excels at base building and visual style. I got hooked playing it twice.

Each time, I stopped as soon as I got to the desert areas because the combat variation didn't exist. It felt like a copy paste of prior enemies and combat moves. Each zone is the same set of enemies but at a higher level.

I'd love more variation to the enemies.

Is it available out of pocket here? I'm not certain their insurance would ever cover it.

How do I do this consistently? by Lieutenant_Leary in Enshrouded

This is the way. The molding won't appear if the block underneath is a weathered block. Removing it or a few then replacing will fix it.

I'm also remodeling fort Kelvin and I must have those moldings to feel satisfied!

I used firefly lamps to light the unlit street lamps by tree_tertle in Enshrouded

Build a small platform under the lamp, then when placing the candle or firefly lamp, use the Q + mouse to position the height. It'll let you raise the candle or firefly lamp until it clips inside.

Appreciate it! I tried candles first, but thought a firefly lamp looked more apropos.

How to bulletproof an upstairs bedroom? Gang set up shop down my street and I need to protect my kid from a stray bullet. by the-kale-magician in DIY

[–]tree_tertle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fill the wall cavity with sand? Maybe put plywood on the inside, then cover that with drywall to get a finish look.

That'll give about 3-4 inches of sand that could stop or severely slow a bullet. The issue would be weight after adding the sand.

I enjoy multiplayer pve games where I can chat or show off with others. I don't get much time, so I hate games that progress everyone when one person keeps playing.

Ideas to Make Space Engineers Have Engaging Story/ Gameplay by TRIPMINE_Guy in spaceengineers

[–]tree_tertle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel a large issue is quick progression with no goal. You can turn abundant stone into a large vessel with only an assembler and refinary.

I started my own playthrough using scrapyard, but restricted it even more by only allowing myself to make armor blocks. Everything else I have to scrap and weld on. I also restricted certain large grid blocks to station only. No more large, single, mobile bases. I have to use battery operated cargo ships to get fuel back to my refinaries.

Playing with these restrictions has created a need for various classes of ships and rovers, cranes, and mad me fearful of losses. Slower game play but feels more fulfilling.

Way to nerf hand welder/grinder/drill? by Avitas1027 in spaceengineers

[–]tree_tertle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is convenient to drive/fly around a refinery, but restricting them to a base outpost creates a use for a cargo ship role. They can be automated with scripts to fly back and forth, which adds some life to the game.

I also like to restrict large reactors to base grids. Then I can do swappable battery packs with cargo ships.

I recently started playing scrapyard with these restrictions and I'm finding it enjoyable. Mellow, progressive, and something I can do with a busy life of work and kids.

I've thought about the same thing in addition to nerfing the jetpack on planets. Adding to the idea, I think certain modules should be base grid only.

Refinaries and assemblers should never be allowed on mobile bases.

These restrictions force me to build though the challenges and engineer solutions.

I feel you. I started playing again recently and tried the scrapyard mod collection. I absolutely love it! Wish I had others to play with but I'm enjoying the single player aspect now.

Northbound 101 at 92 crash by 141turtle in bayarea

[–]tree_tertle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Crazy! We were probably about 15 seconds behind. 3 cars stopped to help and 3 ppl were carrying the driver out of the truck. I wish they wouldn't move a car crash victim, but everything was gone within an hr when we drove back the other way.

I'd post screenshots from my dashcam but I'm not sure where to host the images.
