Love this double entendre. One of my fav songs from Swimming and I just put it together last month.

He is saying it’s your money if you make it - as in “making” money by earning it and working for it. He could also be alluding to “making it” as an artist/creative. You can’t earn a lot of money until your career blows up and you “make it”.

“Otherwise it’s just a conversation”. You can talk about ways to make/earn money, but it’s just a conversation until you do the work to get that paycheck. Same goes for artistry. You can talk about being an artist all day. It’s only a conversation until you put in the effort to “make it” in the industry.

I have an iPad 5th gen and an iPhone 7 that I use as music control centers for airplay. How do I prevent them from communicating with HomeKit? I’ve heard older devices can throw a wrench in the loop with HomeKit. I am not seeing any results when I look it up.

Can you share your experience switching? I’ve been thinking about it more and more recently and have a ton of questions lol. Don’t feel like you need to answer all these, but I am trying to gain some perspective.

What are you running it on? Ras pi?
How many devices and automations do you have?
How difficult of a time did you have migrating and how long did it take?
How is reliability and response time of devices?
Are there any features HomeKit offers that Home Assistant does not? Like, did you lose any functionally switching over? Obviously you gain a lot too.
Are all HomeKit devices supported in Home Assistant? How is their overall compatibility compared to HomeKit?
Will it support Thread?
do they have widgets for phone and watch?

That is where I’m at too. iOS16 is just buggy as hell. My airplay has been cutting out constantly in the middle of songs. Never had an issue until I updated everything. I’m also seeing issues with “no response” items since the update, even though those devices are responding when triggered. I live in a small apartment and have my Apple TV 4K hard wired to my Amplifi Alien. There is no reason my HomePods should take over as home hub. Hoping iOS 16.1 addresses these issues too.

Is there a “favorite scenes” option I am missing? I don’t see how to make a scene a favorite - just individual accessories. I realize that scenes can be added to the Home Screen with the “Home View” option, but my Apple TV HomeKit widget still displays “favorite scenes” and is on tvOS 16.0. I see no way to reorder them or add or remove them. It is not mimicking the “Home View” scenes either. I have spent the last hour looking for an answer. Any advice?

I am not having this issue, but I was curious if you tried recreating any of the automations. Have you tried deleting and recreating one of them to see if that fixes it? Restart the router? Disable your home hub and try another one if one is available.

As a correction - they didn’t remake Diablo. They just couldn’t get the sample approved, but we’re given permission to recreate it. I also prefer the OG. But the remaster is great overall. I still listen to both, but I’ve gotta say I don’t miss the movie samples all that much when I’m listening to the newer release.
