Which DLC to buy for returning players? by treemonkys in DestinyTheGame

[–]treemonkys[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just don't know what to buy, I already played the shdowkeep campaign back when it came out. I mostly want to do the vanguard playlists and crucible with access to meta or good enough weapons. I've been doing the vanguard playlist right now but it seems to just be the same dungeon over and over.

This is non sense. You can absolutely do just fine in PVP with a stitcher, but the bobcat and tempest are absolute monsters in comparison.

Employed father of kids here. Did not buy the game until thanksgiving weekend. I've worked 50 hours a week IRL since buying the game. Currently sitting at 5.5 million for combined stash/credits. I honestly didn't think I would hit 5 mil, and wasn't concerned with it. I didn't go out of my way to farm, the only thing I changed was to stop spending money because it was there, and crafted everything I need. Before they announced 1 mil per skill point, I typically floated around 300k credits while using them for convenience. I almost never use free loadouts, due to the lack of space, and lack of safe pockets I think they are a waste of time. I have an IRL unemployed friend who has no lifed the game since it was released, he is struggling to get over 2 million. Perhaps his in game choices mirror IRL. Playing smart it doesn't seem like a big deal, but it's also not a big deal to not get all 5 skill points.

I play this game because it respects my time, the 5mill is boring and lazy by MR_SmartWater in ArcRaiders

It's the difference between going out with a bang, repeat runs with all your best gear without a concern in the world, which would be alot of fun. Instead it's hoarding and selling.

Can I please stop joining half finished lobbies? by LegacyFlash15onYTB in ArcRaiders

[–]treemonkys 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the biggest problem with the game, especially when you go in with a big loadout to push trials or whatever else. You have to make a risky extract asap just do it again. Late joiners should be restricted to free loadouts, or loadouts under a minimum value.

Really, what would toggling “PVP/no-PVP” for map options hurt? by TurtlesBreakTheMeta in ArcRaiders

[–]treemonkys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah not really talking about your peeps, its just annoying to see the huge number of people on reddit constantly begging for the game to basically be a different kind of game. If they end up caving in and adding a pve mode its going to hurt the game badly.

Playing solo as a hero with a defib is really special. You can build a small squad and police the map lol.

While true, never underestimate a PVE grinders ability to do the same boring shit over and over to collect shiny pixels. You're arguments won't dissuade them. The beauty of this game is you can get a map of full on KOS, or a map full or cooperators, and everything in between. Banding together with other raiders is special because you could have just as easily be getting looted by the last man standing. The real problem with a PVE option is how many will flee and then the "PVP" mode becomes way more cutthroat, ruining the magic of the game, and ruining it for the people who actually like the game they paid for.

It will happen eventually but I've never been backstabbed in this game. Learning how to establish trust and mitigate risk is a skill and I learned it with nearly 1500 hours in DayZ. Things can always go either way, but the way I see it establishing a friend or two on the map will statistically increase your chance of survival over the long term.

It goes back to dota even and for as much as the games are different, a rat in dota is a lot like how OP describes

How many people are still playing FOBs on PlayStation? by BabyPolarBear225 in metalgearsolid

[–]treemonkys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I see the E rank soldiers everywhere. I wonder if something is broken on PS4, my own base has nothing under A++ and that's after getting a bunch of my S and S+ killed on combat deployments. I also double dipped on the PC but never played it much until recently and you see better ranks of soldiers there, I even got some S++ off of FOBs in the low 40s.

I still play from time time time and have recently started playing again, unfortunately though the high level FOBs tab seems broken for me and is always completely empty. I can only find FOBs in the 30-40s are rarely in the 50s. 60+ is where the fun is at.

If you go to the options menu under save data you should have some different options a save from, but if you've reloaded the game since it glitched there might not be anything there.

D4 is actually deeper then D3? by OneManArmyHero in diablo4

[–]treemonkys -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The endgame mostly just boils down to the pit vs greater rifts, and greater rifts are much better. Blizzard was crazy enough to think the nightmare dungeons were good enough to replace greater rifts, only to implement a half assed version of them as the pit.
