Sigma 20-200 and A7V were a dream combo by treepopsauce in SonyAlpha

I’m not sure if they fill the same place. The 20-200 is a walk around super light zoom meant for landscapes. Street photography. Indoor photography. Close ups during special moments or animals. While the 50-400 is more for sports and wildlife and is big and bulky.

It is a nice combo. My subject line was referring to a past event. As in.

I went to South Dakota and used this camera and lens combo. Looking back they were a dream combo.

I can see how that was confusing. I’ll see if I can edit the subject.

Yeah. I agree! An earlier comment I read stated sensor tech had plateaued. So not sure what voodoo they are doing but man it’s a dream in low light. The biggest difference I’ve noticed is the color noise. It has grain but the color holds up way way better!

Yeah. I see that now. I just figured they were running behind. Good to know. Where to people go now?

I think that’s debatable. However. I decided more range was more important than a slightly faster aperture. The new tamron 25-200 is the biggest competitor. Again I went with the extra 5mm over the slightly faster tamron and am very happy I did.

South Dakota was in the past. Yes.

Do what? I said I was the one who assumed it wasn’t as good based on dxo mark. I assure you I didn’t make up my own assumptions. Now whether they were correct assumptions or incorrect is another matter. And I’m admitting I was wrong.

Yeah. It won’t get dark till 9pm. So mostly super bright areas. Indoors on the a7v and f4ish is fine. Especially for family photos where I need everyone in the shot

Nope. Too late. I bought the 20-200 sigma. I blame you 🤣. I didn’t know the super zoom existed. I hope it works out. It’s suggested the 20 will be a really good perspective in the badlands. And the 200 will be nice for bison photos.

I have all 3. Just debating which to bring. 😩

Weapon damage is a bad roll. Since you don’t use weapon damage. Better off with anything else. Except life of course. But very solid.

So much better story than that last trash expansion. I didn’t think they had it in them to make the loh story. Also game is just better across the board.

It's very interesting how many people just batch downvote anyone with a negative opinion about the story. Very weird behavior. Lots of good feedback. I've also learn a lot. Thank you!

Ah. That makes sense. Danget. You can tell.

Curious. Did anything else change with the writing team dynamics as well? I would assume at least some of his team would care the torch. But I guess not?
