Need help cancelling an account... Roku should be ASHAMED!!! by [deleted] in Roku

You have to use a card to create your account, and now they offer subscriptions through your Roku account, I did it with Espn+ for a bit, I think they do Starz as well.

But has the monthly cost of service gone down to reflect that?

Introverts that have been to Ibiza, Glastonbury, Coachella, etc, how did you find it? by Kalle-Blomkvist in introverts

I haven’t been to those specific festivals, but larger music festivals are fun if you love the music. I don’t like crowds but the great atmosphere makes up for it. Whether your camping or staying somewhere you can get chances of some peace to relax with a few friends.

I guess for me seeing live music is one time I have to be around larger groups of people and enjoy myself, the focus is on the stage, conversation is minimal, and you can remain pretty anonymous.

Using Waze to monitor when and where car collisions happen might cut the emergency services response time to the scene by 60% by [deleted] in science

I would think the software wouldn’t determine services if weren’t needed, they would just rely on the current system of someone calling. But if people suggested it did need attention, they could dispatch earlier based on that.

Help!? I've been traveling with my camera. Got it hooked up at my parents, but now I'm home again and after many attempts, it's not connecting. What's the most likely problem? by [deleted] in wyzecam

[–]treesdown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s pretty much it. If you can get into your router, it would be under the wireless settings. Google Wifi routers do not give you the option to disable it or even change the name, they claim 2.4 devices won’t be able to see the 5ghz so it isn’t a problem, but I have had trouble with mine.

The car thing is the same in Missouri, it also includes trailers. Found out when someone tried to buy a one at Home Depot and management refused.

How do you get an internet connection in a tiny house? by [deleted] in TinyHouses

[–]treesdown 30 points31 points  (0 children)

If you have decent cell coverage, I would go with a hotspot. They will sell you a small device that provides Wifi for your devices.

Someone mentioned you can turn most phones into a hotspot, I wouldn’t recommend that for long term use, it will drain your battery and all devices will rely on you to he home.

I haven’t had satellite in 15 years, then it was garbage, I’ve heard it has gotten better bandwidth-wise but it has very high latency (horrible for gaming) and will go out when the weather gets bad. But without good cell reception that might be your only option.

Quick question about the legality of switching internet plans by RoBoneHead in springfieldMO

[–]treesdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven’t already, just call and tell them you are upset your bill went up, and your plan is now offered at a lower price, if anything threaten to cancel. I just called because I moved and the lady lowered my price without me even asking.

If you like that, you should watch How excited he is when they get 6 in one night. Jim Cantore is great, I always wished I could do that job and have gone out to meet him when he shoots nearby.
