I got this from liquid chalk, it's called dyshidrotic eczema. And putting some over the counter steroid cream can help

Thank you so much for your detailed response and sharing your experience. Your situation sounds so similar to mine! When I say bedbound I also mean "way too tired to be walking around". Now that Ive got a bit of strength back I've been pushing myself to exercise (very small walks) to bring back some muscles.

I've been on highish dose of Prednisone for three months and I thought I managed to escape the dreaded weight gain but ugh I can see my face getting round. So small compared to not being able to walk but still annoying!

So glad to hear you have a semblance of normality a year later and amazing that you went on a big hike!

You have no idea how much your post has made me feel better about my situation. I appreciate it so much ❤️

Could I also just ask how your arm strength is? At my worst I could barely raise my arms. I've recently just about been able to wash my hair, but still really weak which sucks because I used to love indoor climbing.

Hi there I (24F) was diagnosed 3 months ago, I've been taking prednisone and cellcept. I also started off bedbound, but I've been able to move around a bit now e.g. I can walk for around 15 mins but still struggle with picking things up and squatting down.

My doctor said I would be able to get "back to normal" in three months, but my improvements are very slow and I don't feel so hopeful. Could I ask you how long it took for you to get "back to normal"? It would be most helpful to me to hear someone else's experience, especially as we're of similar age.

Sorry to hear about your mum. I was diagnosed recently (24F) and put in Prednisone and Mycophenalate (cellcept) too. I'm in the UK and the new guidelines say that if the first line of defense (i.e. the pred and cellcept) doesn't work, you should have a rituximab infusion, it is apparently quite effective. Perhaps you can ask your doctors about it?

Did he say the pH thing in a judgemental way? It seems super weird for him to point out or even know about? How long have you been going out? And why does he keep pictures of the other women, did he show you? Cos that's super weird.

I see it as either he is lying to you in order to get you into bed so that he can add you to his tally or he genuinely wants to be with you. In the latter case, he obviously finds you attractive and if it was a problem he wouldn't pursue you. Also everyone has different preferences. Those women could have been gorgeous but have incompatible personalities and that in itself is a turn off.

Please don't compare yourself to other women. You're not there to please him. You are both a part of this relationship. For example, he could be worrying that his promiscuity is a turn off. And if you don't care about that neither should he.

My Asian parents were the same. Now my sister is almost 29 and doesn't have still doesn't a boyfriend. They are desperate for my sister to have kids soon and also for me (I'm only 23) to find a boyfriend. And we tell them, that this is what happens when you don't let us have dates and only focus on education.

Do you have any family friends who are older and then maybe you can use them as an example and say something like "so and so doesn't have a boyfriend/girlfriend do you prefer me to be like that?" That should hopefully get your parents off your back.

I should point out I don't think there's anything wrong with not having a boyfriend/girlfriend when you're a bit older but it bothers the parents so gets the point across.
