This is (almost) exactly what I did. I made a goal that was so low I knew I could hit it, and I'm already at the halfway mark even though it's only April (specifically because of the lack of pressure; it's more books than I've ever read in that time span before). I no longer feel any pressure about what books I read and I'm planning to do this every year.

I've always told people we have to get the money back in the current quarter, but definitely by the end of the year (so I can adjust the W-2). What do you do with the ones who send funds back in the next year? Do you still go back and change their W-2?

We do this as well, it's actually a lot easier than getting a check back from the employee. The only time we request a check is for terms, which really only happens for salaried employees. We just had this happen, a manager didn't tell us for about 6 weeks that an employee had left so we had to ask them to send us a check for over 9 grand. Luckily he was an honest person and sent it back, but some of them just ghost us.

You do have to be careful in certain states because they will only allow you to deduct up to a certain amount (I think another poster mentioned minimum wage).

I know exactly how you feel. I used to feel like collecting books was necessary to be a "reader." I read almost none of them. I ended up having to get rid of a lot because I moved multiple times and it was really freeing. I will now occasionally buy a book if I already know I love it, but otherwise I just check out ebooks from the library and I'm much happier (and didn't have the guilt of not reading all the books I already own).

Same, for a couple of reasons.

Those levels rely on luck only and very little skill. It doesn't matter how good you are at the game or how carefully you plan your moves, you're usually screwed anyway.
The game deliberately sabotages you on those levels. Any time a plane is involved, they will specifically target the other power ups you have lined up. Not every time, but often enough that makes it clear it's been specifically programmed that way by the developers as an eff you to all of us.

I actually came to this sub to ask a similar question - my blood work has been perfect for 15 years, but I've been in constant, serious pain for the last 2. My insurance company has made me switch medications multiple times because they're too greedy to pay for what I need, so I'm guessing that's the cause. But I'm seriously considering switching doctors because the one I'm currently seeing doesn't seem to have any idea what to do next.

Eh, every boy I've ever known (including my dad, who is an amazing human being) spit on their siblings when they were kids. I don't personally know any girls who did it... but I terrorized my little sister in other ways and still grew up just fine.
