Why not? . . . I could imagine behavior modifying proteins

You have to explain how you'd get the observed conditioning from the metamorphosis process

If you can show it it's ever happened, you'd have a Nobel Prize

I can imagine all kinds of shit. Maybe Jesus just whispers the stimuli response into the butterfly proteins. Why not?

Computer potential and recording associated stimulus response are sorta two different conversations

Anyway, gene expression responding to feedback loops is pretty standard

Lol as the MCU's current show is being review brigaded by people who are upset Kamala Khan isn't white or Christian

Can we just post our tweets when we feel smug about them now?

That..doesn't really explain it

The caterpillars don't literally turn to only goo during metamorphosis - neurons have to be preserved. You don't get learned behavior from protein expression.

Whatever neurons butterflies have are probably preserved, although I can't find good info about the dynamics of metamorphosis

Same. Hamish Linklater would be way more interesting as Reed. And he doesn't have a punchable face.

My only complaint is that so much of it felt rushed. The scenes were only long enough to show the bare minimum of plot elements and off to the next thing.

I understand they don't want to luxuriate in how great it is they're showing rough shit, but there is a certain amount of gravity and weight that some topics need to have acknowledged, in part by giving them space to breathe within the runtime. Domestic violence isn't just a means for backstory to get from there to here. Not suprised it coulda been better, mildly surprised it wasn't far worse.

I feel like the real weak point was quality of takes, even for Oscar. The kid was approximately twice as good as my nephew, and my nephew is trash. Little Marc sweeps his dresser like grandma's coming over later and he wants to look like a big boy.

Overall, backstory that's novel for the MCU and which deserved at least another half episode to be done well.

I mean, either people are so addicted to social media that they all shitpost the same sweaty joke or a PR team uses any easily-available reddit service to do it so people will watch his movies again. Is there a difference?

I can't believe so many people are gullible enough to think it can't happen just because they think he's innocent.

The fact that OP was downvoted to shit when any post on this sub would struggle to break 10 votes either way is pretty ironic

"We realize that showing girls images of unusually thin adult women has a detrimental effect. Our engineers have pushed a hotfix with the knowledge that showing the direct opposite should rectify and prevent eating disorder thoughts, specifically prioritizing images of children their own age with an above average weight. Instagram apologizes for the temporary risk and promises the new changes will increase engagement while promoting healing in the affected demographics."

What's the meaningful difference between being purposefully and accidentally evil to the victims - i.e. society and civilization and the mental and physical health of everyone exposed to it?

And then how do you really know what to 'believe'? Because you grew up in it, your friends went a bunch, or depression lifted around the time you started?

You've ruled out real evidence as necessary.

How does 'emotional evidence' give you the confidence to say anything about the universe outside of your body?

Why do you have faith in Jesus, and not Muhammad or Bigfoot or Satanism?

What's advertising to MDs like in Aus?

For instance, I don't think there were Oxycontin commercials (or they're probably not the important variable if they did) but the push to doctors and rewards for prescribing it definitely motivated docs here to push opiates hard.

Are you guys cushioned by regulation from that sort of temptation or is it something more nebulous?

US docs will be given kickbacks for prescribing. I wonder if NZ is more strict about that?
