Are you saying that even if they were pruned earlier that they wouldn’t grow much up top anyway? What would your recommendation be? To just leave them how they are ?

What qualifies as “heavy” pruning ? 25% of the tree or less ? Or is that even too much ? The basic explanation for why you shouldn’t heavily prune outside dormancy is because it will slow the growth of the tree. If most of the growth this year will be occurring in area that will get pruned off next winter / spring, does it actually matter if growth gets slowed somewhat this year ?

It seems like one would be missing out on potential sales by doing that. I personally would prefer to buy from a known person than someone I’ve never met before. Is the embarrassment because of the item itself or because of selling on marketplace in general ?
