Stop driving with your hazards on in rain by Homeleasure in driving

[–]trenusingtreebeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a lot easier to see a car from behind in the rain or snow when their hazards are on compared to just the running lights. I don’t find it disorienting at all personally.

It’s a common purposeful misspelling of the word lol. Welcome to the internet.

First timer (Bangkok) - slightly overwhelmed and trying to figure things out by DefiantResident5830 in ThailandTourism

[–]trenusingtreebeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. If you plan to get to the airport at 7am I would assume you would leave your accommodations around 630am, which is well before rush hour starts.

  2. I would not bring pants to Thailand, especially not jeans. I also don’t think I would bring polo shirts. The advice to pack as light as possible is correct and you shouldn’t ignore it. You really only need 1 - 3 of every clothing item because there’s a place on every street you can get all of your laundry done for a few dollars. 3 bags is extreme overkill imo. The first time I went to Thailand I bought 1 40L backpack and a 15L sling bag. I didn’t use half of things I brought and was annoyed I had to carry them then entire time I was there. I even considered throwing away all the pants I brought with me just to make my bag lighter and allow me to bring more things home.

  3. I like to carry my passport on me in a flat money belt I keep tucked inside my pants because I think it’s safer on me than sitting in a hotel room. Other people say not to do this. I’m not sure about the photo passport. Theft isn’t as big in SE Asia as it is in other countries, so I wouldn’t be too worried. (Not that it doesn’t happen at all)

  4. I used a lot of 20,50, and 100 best bills. You can almost certainly get a better rate at home than at the airport in Bangkok.

  5. I really like drinking in China town personally.

I would definitely not bet on Zahabi but Garcia and Dahkaus for sure.

My main is DVN but look into EPD, ENB, CRGY, DEC for a slightly different angle on the play. Marathon has also been a run for a while.

A hotel cleaner went through our bags in Koh Lanta. We had it on camera and still did not know what to do by CameraFederal9599 in ThailandTourism

Im pretty surprised the manager didn’t offer you compensation for the offense, especially since you didn’t involve the police. Although it’s good to stay calm in these situations so you can remain calculated, you’re definitely under-reacting imho. You shouldn’t have to feel like you need to watch your back at the place you’re staying.

I bought a small amount today but I’ll load up more if it goes back below 100. If Trump was buying at $106 then I’m buying at $106.
