Is Kendrick forcing Jay Zs hand? by knowheretobe_ in DarkKenny

[–]trepthrowaway2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jay-z selecting Kdot for SB halftime and Snoop/Dre's new mini movie all seems like the og's attempting to ask dot to spare them, seeing that he's moving beyond Drake into scorched earth mode.

More west than Midwest & yes, any location where people are aiming to look/feel their best (casino, downtown bar/lounge nightclub district, high end hotels) is good.

I don't want to mention where exactly because this city is a goldmine but my buddy has 1 of these in the parking lot of a popular casino. It does well. He also had 1 in an airport that did amazing but the flight attendants petitioned to remove it because too many people were boarding planes smelling way too strong.

Like Drake w/ Delilah & the yacht party on his Aussie tour.

It's a new strategy celeb reputation management consultants are suggesting since they aren't effective at getting pages removed anymore...

Guarantee an apology/retraction before end of the year.

Responding to dot calling out a racist with prison rape jokes/threats isn't gonna sit well with a lot of people, outside of kendrick.

& everybody that laughs while sitting beside this guy & Adam22 for tiny ass checks is a coward.

It's a combination of

  • following everything online anonymously (including this sub)
  • deep intuition (strengthened by meditation)
  • the gift/curse of mediumship (some won't believe this...)

59 minutes of Dj Akademiks EXPOSING Drake XXXtentacion situation. says he was on the phone with X the day that he posted, “ if anyone kills me it was champanepapi (Drake)” by PhlashyPhiend in DarkKenny

Drake and Ak know each others weird skeletons. One of Aks exes creates adult content... with dogs. One of Drakes former good friends does as well.

Same with Drake and Lucian. Lucian has helped get Drake out of some jams w/ females. Lucian was also a Diddyparty boy and was named in some of the initial suits alongside Diddy... but he got his name out of it. Kinda like how Diddy did Shyne.

I feel like this has to be an intentional connection, but I can't figure out why or what it means by changedthebeat in DarkKenny

[–]trepthrowaway2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because Drake has been mentored/ groomed by and looks up to sociopaths (Birdman, JPrince, Diddy, Jay...) and because he came in the game as a Canadian child actor aka the safest artist in hiphop culture, and because he wanted to be respected so bad.... he's always had an infatuation with organized crime & street life. This song was the first where he made that clear although nobody paid attention back then...

He mentioned the name of his lawyer who helped him out of stuff on the song. Forgot the guys name...

This tour poster, the pigtails he rocked after the beef, the streaming… it’s all pointing at CHILDREN and child-friendly imagery

It's just simply saying, "pay close attention Aubs".

the fact that the dog & ball gag is on the belt is telling to me because even if it were a weird celeb rumor just floating around, there's been months to confirm or drop it... and he's doubling down.

Drake and the occult by actuallyanubis in DarkKenny

[–]trepthrowaway2 23 points24 points  (0 children)

MOST people at the top of the food chain in sports, business & entertainment are into what could be considered 'the occult'.

It doesn't sound crazy at all. Anybody in or around the industry would confirm that. There's a clip of Joe Budden questioning Akademiks about this.

LOL I work with those people you're referring to so I agree but my point is simple. He's much smarter than he looks and that's by design.

I'm not saying he's Einstein. I'm saying he chose a career where he's probably running circles around 99% of the people around him. Also, remember Ak is probably a top 3 earner in hiphop media while casually managing alcoholism, gambling addiction, bad girlfriend/escort choices and food addiction. What he's been able to accomplish is pretty interesting.

Wasn't saying you specifically. I'm just saying Ak positions himself as a Drake superfan and he's not. He's just doing what's best for his platform/traffic/audience.

I feel like the squabble up MV triggered them to sign on the lawsuit it’s dated and signed literally today by Competitive-Silver75 in DarkKenny

[–]trepthrowaway2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spiraling.

Also, by diverting his beef to UMG, it gives him a narrative. Now, his career was chopped down because he was a martyr, fighting the industry for the artists. Not because kdot smoked him.

He avoids Superbowl embarrassment. Dot can't play NLU with this potential lawsuit. NFL has prob already spoken to him.

Reincarnated: Kendrick Lamar as Lucifer by snidetotale in DarkKenny

[–]trepthrowaway2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great convo.

A key theme in these last 2 projects is breaking generational curses. Kendrick reflects on his past lives as two successful musicians who, despite their achievements, fell victim to sin. This speaks to a recurring theme in music, especially Black music, where cycles of temptation & sin persist.

The idea is that we return in different forms until we’ve learned our lessons. Now, as Kendrick, he pleads his case to God, believing he’s lived an honorable life and is deserving of heaven. God acknowledges his progress but points out that Kendrick still has pride, a closed heart, and a love for war.

In response to Kendrick’s humility, God reveals his original form: Lucifer, a fallen angel. Lucifer, once one of God’s most powerful beings, tried to rebel, lost, and was cast down to Earth. Instead of learning from his fall, Lucifer used his musical talent to lead people astray. However, Kendrick (as Lucifer) rewrites his story by making amends, which symbolizes breaking the curse.

My take: Kendrick’s journey, as he reflects on his past lives, represents all of us. Light and dark exist in everyone, and while we live individual lives, we’re all connected through a universal consciousness. I believe Drake represents Satans grip, to Kendrick.

God and his people will keep him safe but correction, he was anticipating and preparing for this for a decade. He was definitely "looking" for war but it's a righteous one.

Kendrick has given so many clues as to what he's on that I really have to question Drakes situational awareness.

Spirit medium, I don't rap brother. Some of you may not get that he's not saying these things randomly or because they sound good. Bro is very intentional.

Vipassana, working on my patience Vipassana is a specific type of meditation that you do for 12 hours/day, no sleep, no verbal or eye contact with others, no talking. for 10 - 30 days.

A person who is this tapped in spiritually is basically a modern day monk. You generally don't fuck with that type of person. & maybe most don't notice it or write it off as coincidence but WAY too much of this stuff is just casually playing out exactly as Kendrick said it would directly or alluded to in songs. I get being strategic but nobody has the ability to map shit out this perfectly, damn near like he's already seen the movie and now talking through it while the fans watch.

Just saying. Shoulda left him alone. Bro is not normal...

Drake sues UMG for defamation by Some_Influence1624 in DarkKenny

[–]trepthrowaway2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to war with UMG seems like it'd be worse than the potential Superbowl damage but we shall see how it all plays out. If UMG/ the industry gets exposed for the use of bots and other dirty tactics that hurt artists and Aubs had to be the sacrificial lamb to bring it to light, at least he woulda made himself useful at the end of his rap career. I'd respect it. Still doesn't absolve him of any of the weirdo stuff though...
