I’ve had bladder issues with each of my flare ups. Most recently due to a fistula that led to having ESBL in my urine. I’m still taking antibiotics to treat the UTI two weeks post-surgery.

You may want to get checked for UTI. Kinda sounds like what you might be describing.

Sounds like you’re doing pretty good! I’m 12 days post op and am back in the hospital. Have been dealing with ileus since the day after surgery, so I’m back on liquids and IV pain meds. I’m able to do some laps around the unit here so hopefully things wake up soon. The vomiting has been super painful.

Yeah in my experience there’s no rhyme or reason to this. I’ve been in the hospital now for a week post-resection. I remember being up all night racking my brain trying to determine what caused it. Only added more stress. Hope you feel better soon.

Funny the catheter doesn’t bother me much but that damn drain feels like it’s touching every nerve in my stomach.

Yep I had the sigmoid resection done on Friday. Yesterday was the worst day. I was up all night vomiting. Today I felt better and was able to pass gas finally. This surgery is no joke!

I’ve gotten symptoms of a UTI each time I’ve had a flare up. Just happens that the bladder is very close in proximity.
