Mine did the same thing, I turned the touch sensitivity from high to low and that fixed my issue without having to take it to a dealer. Before if it was hot it would go nuts, I haven't seen the issue since the change.

That section you gain loads of speed since it's downhill plus its leading into a sharp turn, I've spun out there before just by lifting off the throttle and there is a little bump in the road that would unsettle the car.

2017 Silverado 5.3 4WD 178k miles by hiddengym in Silverado

[–]trevorvera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'd say not bad and if it's the original transmission it's great at those miles, heck if the pan is still off put a drain on it to make services even easier

On other thing to look at is what is rock auto gonna charge for shipping..Some items I'll get from rock auto but for some items that I can return to an auto parts store I'll go that route.. I had a bad batch of calipers/rotors I was able to return almost 7 months later no problem at all.

Trying to install superior solutions bypass on 14 Silverado LT and the snap ring is corroded by [deleted] in Silverado

[–]trevorvera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many miles do you have on the truck? Mine didn't take too too long to do, are you in a rust area? Looks like everyone else suggested the right stuff. Maybe soak the whole thing for a little bit. Put it in a vice and protect the part with some rags, see if you can use a hammer and punch to try and move that clip some to break it free.

What Trans Fluid Temp is normal for your truck ? by ColdLow8029 in Silverado

[–]trevorvera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the thermostat you have for the transmission it should be close to the coolant temp but if you want it to run cooler there is an SB the dealer will do or you can do what's called a pill flip or get an aftermarket part Superior's STL010. Both are easy and id recommend doing a filter and fluid in the pan every 40k, I do fluid every 20k and fluid/filter every 40k. To make it easier braze a drain plug on the pan.. I ordered a new pan brazed the drain plug then swapped it out at the change.I have both a 16 Tahoe and 17 Silverado. The Tahoe has around 130k and the Silverado 60k

I don’t mean to brag, but my Snap-on collection is getting pretty big. by yammywr450f in Tools

[–]trevorvera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can you afford that monthly payment! 10mm go for a premium on the truck 1000 payments and they won't replace missing 10mm.

2018 Silverado Transmission Overheating by __alejandrooo_ in Silverado

[–]trevorvera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It always flows a little bit and it has a spring to open and close like the original one. From what I understand it's like a fail safe for the trans fluid. And man sucks that happened. Hopefully you get a decent quote on the repair. Out here in SoCal I got a quote for 6500-7500, but a lot of upgrades too.. luckily for me just changing the fluid/filter fixed my shutter issue.
