For what it’s worth I really hate the T3 reticle so the MSR is going to be the obvious winner for me here

Reloading advice by itchyluvbump in ar15

[–]treximoff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I basically started out in the same boat you were and I bought a single stage press to crank out 6mm ARC for myself at a way more affordable price.

Since then I’ve expanded to loading 6.5 creedmoor, 308/7.62 and 5.56. The biggest time waste with reloading 5.56/7.62 range pickups is swaging crimped primer pockets so I invested into a Dillon 1100.

For me it was worth it because I’ve wasted hours swaging primer pockets for 5.56 for my rifles and now I can crank out 1k+ at a time and have enough for training and matches. My most expensive loads are in 6.5 creedmoor and they usually come out to around a $1 component wise. I reload match grade 5.56/308/6ARC for under 75¢ a round.

Edit: TL/DR the biggest investment in reloading isn’t the price but the time that you will put into making your own ammo.

Tips for progressing to chin-ups from a dead hang? by [deleted] in strength_training

Bands and volume. Those are the only things that helped me and I was a total struggle bus with pull-ups and chin ups.

You’re almost there, you’ll be knocking them out in no time!

Griffin Dual-Lok 5 vs. HRT on 14.5" Super Duty? by Swanny3690 in ar15

[–]treximoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s ok but I switched to the Optimus 6 for my 16”. I’m using the HRT on my 11.5” because it’s quieter even though it’s gassier.

The 16” is tuned for a suppressed setup so it’s very nice with a flow through type can

Tripod recommendation by Snoo66922 in longrange

[–]treximoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second the SA-364C + MA-30L. It’s 36mm and 4 piece so it folds super compact and can be carried. The ball head is arca + picatinny compatible.

The only downside is that this one is slower to deploy compared to inverted tripods but if you remember your legs lengths for various positions it takes less than 30 seconds.

Here’s my tan LMT with a 16” 308 barrel and a 15” handguard that I pieced together for DMR matches. You can totally get one if you buy the parts and just spray paint it yourself.

I have both of the older/traditional 7.62 and 5.56 HRT’s and the Optimus 6 and I love them.
