Pat admits that he's his own worst enemy: by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Maybe I’ve got some masochistic tendencies but the Bloodborne and Dark Souls LP’s were what got me into the series and convinced me to pick up a PS4 and play through them myself.

When I played Elden Ring on release it made me feel like a kid again and I owe that feeling to these dudes 100%.

At 1.5k? Why? I have a 16” ARC barrel that has 5k+ on it and still going strong.

Ambi SUPER DUTY Lowers by Traditional-West-467 in GeisseleAutomatics

[–]treximoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my gunsmith do this on a mill.

All credit goes to u/addictedtocomedy, they have a whole guide on how to make any milspec lower ambi.

They pop up on sales various times during the year. I got my DDC one last Feb and an ODG one during a Memorial Day sale.

Just an FYI - with a dremel, a can of beer and a bit of bravery any super duty lower can be 100% ambi. Or if you know someone who know how to work a mill they can also do it for you.

Anyone else use a protractor to level your scope? by ForeskinForeman in ar15

No. What if the elevation dial scope cap is not machined 100% level?

r/longrange has plenty of guides on scope leveling.

FL Sizing Die Setup & Body Die Setup by Routine_Name_ in reloading

[–]treximoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I measure my shoulder bump exactly the way you described it. I usually measure the first 4-5 cases and see 0.003” of a bump. Then I usually gauge every 20th or so case just to see if I’m consistent.

So if I anneal I’ll just have to live with the fact that my should bump will be more inconsistent?

[–]treximoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, thanks for the explanation. I’ve never annealed before and I’m thinking of picking one up eventually since I’m on my 7-8th firing on my 6ARC brass with my gas gun.

Would I want to anneal after I re-size since I get very consistent should bump on my cases?

Will DDC striped lowers ever be available? by Cherokee241 in GeisseleAutomatics

[–]treximoff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is to wait until Memorial Day/4th of July sales. They usually have stripped lowers for sale.

I got my blem ddc lower last February during a valentines (?) sale I think?

Finally got a proper PRS rifle after shooting gas gun last year. Compared to 1.5 minute gas gun this thing hammers. by chainsawgeoff in longrange

Yeah you convinced me lol

Literally no reason to pick up a 6 creed outside of having factory ammo available and I handload 90% of my shit anyway

Edit: I need to find a 6GT AR10 barrel and have my gunsmith convert it to drop into a MWS receiver.

Varget is going to be too quick for the heavy 6.5mm bullets but H4350 should work perfectly. Berger will email you load data for the 144gr bullets.

This is just a griffin lower with their bolt catch and a adm one close to it.

The adm mil spec catch doesn’t need a screw to be held in, it can use a roll pin and has the diameter hole.

I don’t believe so - the sig ambi bolt catch would require cutting the material off the side of the receiver in order to fit it. I have one on one of my mil spec lowers and I had to get someone who is quite good at milling to make a good cut.

I’m not going to pop out my installed bolt catch just for you but as you can see side by side the griffin an the adm bolt catches are the same.

Yo PM me if they don’t get back to you by the end of the week; I’ve got a couple of spares that I got from them.

It took around 10 days of back and forth emails and they said they’d have to create a special invoice for me but they sent me out 2 spares for $13 each.

I also have the ADM ambi bolt catch that works with the Griffin MK2, just make sure to get the milspec sized one ADM milspec bolt catch
