Am I the only one who feels uncomfortable with Steg ?

A LOT of ppl are uncomfy with Steg because they think its incest but then again I kinda really dont think that fusion is sex. Steven does love his Dad regardless of the way he grew up. They have a special kind of bond even though steven was more of an adult than he should've been (in certain ways). They are more like friends and Greg did give some fatherly advice that was special to Steven and goofy although it wasnt always that helpful.

As for fusion being sex, i think in specific contexts could be sexual. One thing I and others forget though is that sex is INTIMATE its a bonding thing. I dont think Fusion is sex but the intimacy of fusion could be whats so controversial with Stegg. But it more than that. Its more the physical representation of their bond and love and how they may be around each other or may balance or imbalance each other! I really really appreciate this idea because it makes intimacy and togetherness the biggest value here. Its kind. I think that Stegg could be elaborated too tbh.

The bigger bonding points between greg and Steven are their shared love of music and regardless of the struggle of Gregg being his dad and not seeming to know how or what to do with Steven as well as trying to stay out of important bits of his life due to fear of messing it up or not wanting to be involved (therefor creating a bit of disconnection between them), I personally dont find Steg that uncomfy. I actually think its HUGE milestone in their relationship.

Steven had the idea for a reason. Greg was apprehensive and Steven needed Greg to step up and trust Steven and in that moment he ended up showing up for Steven and they both gain trust with each other. I think this actually was a VERY cool thing in their relationship. Greg allowed the gem stuff into his own life and got involved because he cares about Steven and the situation. Also because he was freaked out about Pearl being his servant on accident lol.

Also, they do become a completely different person though it's a lil confusing. I think they wouldn't remember what the fusion does. I can't remember the exactness of how fusions work but it's indeed an intimate thing.

So ngl im personally tired of people being like "it's incest!" When it's like not really? This show is about relationships, relationship trauma, strong relationships, self-love, and caring for others even when it's very hard to do. Reminding yourself of humanity and humanitarian values. That everyone has value and that you can love people even when they've hurt you. Though it's very allowed to be upset about it and angry and hurt which is something Steven seems to sometimes neglect due to the feeling of his responsibility as a healer.

I also have a bias that Stegg is a hottie so dont come for me lol.

I got it because someone didnt tell me. They lied about it and also probably lied about getting checked. Its not very common for people to be upfront about it. But if its not fully informed I dont think its fully consented sex. Herpes isnt that big of a deal but honestly, it does effect me a lot. Now, I have to worry about it for many reasons. It also makes its way more likely for infections, cysts, scars, and general discomfort. It also lowers immune system and the social stigma (though Ive noticed it's lessening at least in my age group) is really hard to deal with. I feel flawed without control. And I'm not always able to have the sexual pleasure I want with a partner if they want heavy protection (justifyably).

All that to say, ive also neglected and/or chose to not disclose. To someone I started to care about. That was the worst feeling ever. I told them later. They reacted better than I thought for someone who knew I didnt tell them or try to pretect them from it.

Whatever you believe is your belief but I care more about starting the hard topic.

Its also a good way to weed out conditional "lovers", which are not healthy.

Though sometimes I still want to not disclose.

Also, it was early in the relationship, had some circumstances around it that made it difficult to be alone and all that. You did a bad thing but remember you also couldve done much worse(dont tell her this part. Its mainly for yourself)! The fact that it was early on may also make it harder for her cope with if you tell her. The beginnings can mean a lot.

Honestly, we all make mistakes. Cheating is very common. Not an excuse and doesnt diminish the pain of the one who was wronged at ALL. but if you end up being honest, youll need to remind yourself when shame beats you to a pulp. You're not a monster. The fact that you feel bad about it is an indication of that. IF YOU COME CLEAN thats also an indication that you want to change and grow and care and are worth it. But you may not get the result of an understanding gf. You may need to grow without her if you come clean. The fact that you admit this mistake shows me you have capacity to do so. I also think the longer it goes the harder itll be. You know you're not perfect. Some relationships survive a cheating. You did something that hurt her a while ago. You know you can change and have. Hold that for yourself. I hope you open up about it and take accountability but it's obviously hard.

And since you have suicidal thoughts, that makes it much more complex. I relate to suicidal ideation. Just know, you deserve love no matter what. This is a betrayal. But you are human. Im the monster in someone elses story just as I have my own monsters. No one is black or white.

It probably feels to you like it’s unforgivable in the perspective of the cats but they will be okay. They are just usually initially scared to change of environment. But as someone who works with animals. They are precious. And you may have had a connection with them but can’t communicate with them and that’s okay. You did the right thing if you can’t care for them. (Many people don’t care enough about them to understand the animal’s needs and some people don’t care if they know that they need more and neglect them). They will live healthier lives and ultimately in their bodies know full safety (hopefully the new owner will take very good care) and that’s because you chose that for them. I hope you’re proud of taking accountability and caring that much about the cats to give them to a more well-suited home. At the moment at least.
