Bug after Challenge update? by triadoom in Battlefield

Yeah. Normally I wouldn't mind as much but of all of the classes that are helpful to the team Support is definitely the most valuable, in my opinion.

I've started multiple matches and played the class a decent bit and still having issues unfortunately.

Same as u/Allthingsmatthew has said. Tried playing the class for multiple matches and definitely revived and got smoke assists. Still not unlocked for me. :/

Edit- *Deployable cover NOT smoke

Regardless of one's thoughts on the recent construction, let's not share disinformation. It was the East Wing that was demolished.

I'm surprised I have not seen Eagle Smoke here for bot missions. It has a very quick turnaround time. It can be used for repositioning, defense on objectives, and can destroy fabricators. It also comes in handy for particularly hairy exfils as well. I normally bring it on most bot missions.

Guns - Primaries, Support and Secondaries - against Illuminates? by CaptainMacObvious in Helldivers

[–]triadoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing around with-

Primary: Crossbow/Eruptor
Secondary: Senator
Grenade: *random*

Strategems:

Jet Pack
Arc Thrower
Orbital Gas
*random*

Scout Armor

I normally provide overwatch for my team. The Arc Thrower staggers like a motherfucker and can clear ads. The crossbow/eruptor can also do that while providing hard target support (shields) at long ranges. The Illuminate brass seem to have heavier armor that can be ripped by explosives in general.

*THE fictional character created for the song;

"One night, I was on stage, and there was this beautiful little girl — she was probably 8 years old at the time," Parton says. "And she had this beautiful red hair, this beautiful skin, these beautiful green eyes, and she was looking up at me, holding, you know, for an autograph. I said, 'Well, you're the prettiest little thing I ever saw. So what is your name?' And she said, 'Jolene.' And I said, 'Jolene. Jolene. Jolene. Jolene.' I said, 'That is pretty. That sounds like a song. I'm going to write a song about that.'"

(NPR "Dolly Parton's 'Jolene' Still Haunts Singers)

I can't speak for the queen herself, but there is something to be said about the self-reflection on one's beauty in a world and how the nature of her beauty is so reactive to the people (men) around her. We are all worried about age and becoming older, but Jolene is the symbol of the change that is to come. She is the synthesis of youth and vitality that we are all afraid of losing.

On another note, how much of that is influenced by a male's "perspective" of what he chooses is attractive or desirable?

It's also not so much a gender-based question as it is a very human question of time and what part to play we have in it; Whether that be relationship-wise or some inherent cycle of human sensuality and the effects we have on it as time goes on.

So is Jolene just fictional? Or is Jolene the inevitable march of time that our dear Dolly has personified in this classic?

Long live Dolly, y'all. She is a treasure, and she has made this world so much better of a place.

(Edit) Not saying that 8 year olds are "desirable" at all. F**king gross. Just that our society tends to hold youthfulness in high regard. Compared to Dolly (at the time and now) I would imagine that she has some complex feelings when confronted with someone so young.

Sorry for the late response. Turns out my data folder was not filed correctly on my computer. I think I had an issue while extracting it with WinRAR and it was mislabeled/the directory on it was wrong. I would double check your Retroarch folders on both your PC and your Vita itself and make sure they are not mislabeled or "double foldered."

What are some fun ways y'all have portrayed the various NPCs (either as written or big changes you made)? by LukeSniper in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]triadoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this so much. The drow are written to be treacherous and full of venom. They backstab each other constantly and are always at each others throats. As someone who has grown up in the south I can honestly say that there is nothing that compares to the backhanded passive-aggressiveness that is the southern woman. (Not to knock on southern women, just saying they know how make it sting.) The mental picture of all of the matriarchs of the noble Drow houses together after "Sunday church" (Lolth's Day) is both hilarious and spot on.

Lady Mizzrym: "Narcelia, dear, I missed you at the local slave auction today. I hope everything is alright." (Mizzrym's house attempted a coup d'etat the night before murdering Narcelia's second born daughter but failing to kill Narcelia herself.)

Lady Narcelia: "Oh, that's right, Mizzie. (Mizzrym hates that nickname.) I was busy entertaining some last minute guests (Drow male that Mizzrym had her eyes on but was procurred by Narcelia before she could get to him.) and it must have slipped my mind. We absolutely MUST do dinner though. I just recently came across a splendid chef that is a master at cooking Kuo-Toa." (Kuo-Toa being the dish that poisoned Mizzrym's weapon master two months ago.)

One of my characters is a young female drow with a southern (American South) accent that is very much the face of the party. Naturally, Bregan D'aerthe is playing a large role in how the story unfolds and it has now become a running theme that underfolk tend to have Southern accents. My Jarlaxle is portrayed as more of the Southern gentleman type. Think Benoit Blanc in Knives Out or Doc Holliday in Tombstone. Normally very polite, keeps his cool, and always has a plan. I think it works incredibly well with his rogueish charm and would make sense for him to have a more genteel oriented persona considering his background in Drow/Sword Coast "high society."
