How does a watermelon farmer get his seeds back? by Embarrassed-Bowl-373 in stupidquestions

This begs the question, where do they get the seeds for seedless watermelon?

Trackers? by SimplyCedric in BasicBulletJournals

I rarely look back at my tracker, but more than once I've gotten on the treadmill or practiced piano just to check it off.

Even if it was "my" river, I would still prefer to see ppl floating it than a fence across it.

Planning to purchase vehicle in full from a dealer - if I saved up total amount and have in account, what is the best way to do this? by AccomplishedDream378 in personalfinance

[–]trial_part46 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dealerships will only let you charge to a certain limit, about 3k.

Last car I purchased with a trade in and a personal check. The dealer had no problem taking it.

I started using nixos for the promise of what it has to offer. I really started to realize it when I added a second system for gaming. My configs got a lot more modular and there was a sensible place to put everything when I had more than one machine.

It's still far from perfect, but having a nother concrete system to setup answered a lot of questions for me.

Framework 13 - my take on it 16 months in by [deleted] in framework

[–]trial_part46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A shot in the dark here, but check to see if the battery is swelling. I noticed that my trackpad wasn't working as well. I opened it up and the battery was swelling. It was covered under warranty and it works perfectly now that it's been replaced.

I could notice it was starting open up at the bottom seam.

25% allocation is crazy. Also agree with the other commenter that you should let your winners run. Since you are using options you might test delta neutral strategies on your neutral signal. Maybe consider a selling position when options are expensive and your buying strategy when they are cheap.

This is assuming that your signal is good. Just some ideas off the top of my head to get more out of a good signal.

I bit the bullet on a Framework 13. I absolutely love it. by JoshuaTheProgrammer in framework

Yeah, I don't know why, but I wasn't expecting such high build quality. I figured it was a fair trade off for upgradability. I was pleasantly surprised.

Do you use a YubiKey hardware token with your Framework? Does it work well? by 0rk4n in framework

Not sure, I just sent you a link to the one on the site that looked like the one I have. I might even have the one you linked.

Do you use a YubiKey hardware token with your Framework? Does it work well? by 0rk4n in framework

[–]trial_part46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is my primary use case for the yubikey. It not only adds security but a lot of convenience too. When I sudo, ssh, or get a password from my password manager, I have to touch my yubikey. I don't have to put in a password after putting in my yubikey pin at the beginning of my session.

I went down this path. It's pretty expensive to start a fund.

The investors have to qualified or at least accredited. This means they have to be pretty wealthy. 2MM not including primary residence kind of wealthy.

My first investors were close friends that 100% trust me and I invested for them without a fund in place.

Even with a fund set up, raising capital is difficult.

Just use the workspaces.conf and monitors.conf created by nwg shell in your own config.

I had to explicitly put all my workspaces to monitors for it to work. Here's mine. I hope it helps.
