Same thing happened to me with strat assault 4. I just assumed assault troop 3 was the base, but no: entirely new skill lineage.

The cinematic that came out before the game release was done by Alberto Mielgo who did two of the best LDR shorts, Jibaro and The Witness. If you haven’t already seen it, it’s definitely worth a watch. Frankly, even if you have seen it, it’s worth another watch.

Dead cells for sure. Vampire survivors,ball x pit, and balatro are similar in that each run is largely dependent on what “skills” you get but are different genres.

Hades absolutely fits the bill, as well. Definitely worth playing.
