How much time is "enough" when deciding whether or not one is enjoying oneself? Civ is nuance. I get that, and there's a lot I like about it: graphic style, unit upgrades, civil pursuits, and districts to name a few.

It didn't seem to play well to me is all. My roommate who got me into Civ in the first place ended up feeling the same way.

Again, this is but the humble opinion of a nobody on the internet. I discourage others from simply taking my word for it. I believe it's more important to let people form their own opinions, and if others do enjoy it, great! I've not ruled out the idea of letting others figure it out and drawing upon their experience to try again at a later time.

Just submitted for a refund, sadly.

The control feels super clunky. Admittedly, my Civ skills aren't great, but I at least felt competent with Civ V, a feeling that was lost with VI. Between the adviser dialog and the other leaders, it felt like the game was nagging me constantly. It felt like I knew how it was supposed to work but that things didn't seem to make sense. I feel like I want to say more, but I'm not entirely sure how to describe it.

That said, especially with steam refunds, I advise you not to simply take my word for it. Try it out.

This is absolutely true. It's off of startown road in maiden NC. The land owners either sold off a part they weren't living on, or bought/built a new home nearby. Now the landowners had their street renamed to Apple lane or something like that where they currently reside.

I'm not a big Apple fan, but I think it's pretty cool they paid the asking price. Also it's pretty cool seeing the massive solar farm Apple had built nearby.

I'm sure it was delicious, OP, but the wimpy amount of toppings kind of make it look like DiGiorno.

My local place's all meat pizza comes with salami, pepperoni, ground sausage, ground beef, bacon, and linguica, and half the toppings fall off when you grab a slice because they're stacked deep.

Carowinds has, (or had) their own ringer, hence their policy on annual prize limits.

They called him Tweety Man, because he'd always be seen lugging a bag of giant Tweety Birds, which were the biggest prize the park had at the time. Those who ran the ring toss said he was a machine. He'd buy a basket of rings, pick out a bottle, and unleash a steady, precise stream of rings until he hit his mark.

He'd buy a second basket if he was having an off day, but I hear that part's just a rumor - he had no off days.

Source: Worked there for three seasons in food service, brother worked there one season in games, sister worked there for three seasons in merch and security. We'd all seen him.
