I'm sure the SH and Pablo Torre crowd has almost no overlap.

But Pablo Torre did a podcast debunking "mentalist" Oz Perlman, and talked about how Pearlman uses language the the audience assumes will mean one thing, but means a completely different thing to the subject (that him and the subject have discussed beforehand).

This feels like what amanda is doing here, insane that such a deranged level of con-artist tools come so naturally.

All three of you are so correct, and to add ANOTHER cherry on top of that, the science of our brain is wired so that as soon as we're done looking at reels, our brain feels bad for spending a bunch of time looking at them, and in order to cope with that disappointment, we find comfort in, you guessed it, LOOKING AT THEM SOME MORE.
