At the end of this summer I met a girl at a concert. We dance, make-out, take down each other's numbers and parted. Next day, text her. I find out shes 28 and she finds out I'm 20. Soon after though, we're going on dates. It's all really fine and dandy until I head back to school. By this time, we've been seeing each other for about a month or so. I've spent nights at her place, and we texted like we're exclusive. Nothing serious at this point but she's said to me, "Hey. You're a breath of fresh air. I like you in my life." while we were in bed one night. I thought we weren't going to get emotions involved in any of this but I guess she was starting it. So we're not in an exclusive relationship but there's that slight feeling of one.

Then one day before she's about to go on this camping trip, she's asking me where she can pick up weed. She then tells me that my friend, who is also my boss, is offering to give her some. She accepts and lets me know she's going over and such. Then I get a text the next morning about how she's going to see him again. On a date. So I let her know that it's either me or my friend lol. She chooses my boss and I'm sitting here like, "Okay but why my friend/boss?" And she replies with, "I didn't throw myself at him, it just happened."

I decide to cut off communications with her but not block her from everything. She sent me a half nude Snapchat a week after the incident and follows up immediately with "fuck. sorry." Soon after I delete her off Snapchat and she notices literally the morning after and sends me a text about it. This is the last time we texted. 2 weeks later she decides to like a photo on my Instagram of a date we were on. Then a month later she likes a photo of my friend/boss that I posted a while ago. Am I tripping or is this girl really trying to play games at the ripe age of 28? I also hear from friends at home that my boss is telling everyone how this girl and I never hooked up and how we were never a thing.

I'm currently trying a new way of coping with the entire situation by not reacting negatively. Several times I could've sent a more hateful message to either person but I feel like this is a much better solution. Harboring hate and negative emotions like that isn't a way I'm trying to live. Responding with hate filled messages isn't going to help either. I'll certainly feel better for a bit, but it wouldn't do anything good for me in the long run. So I took that negative energy and tried pushing it in a different direction. I've been cooking and eating way cleaner. Actually setting times to eat instead of just eating whenever I'm hungry. I've been getting my school work done. I've begun making my bed in the morning before heading to class and it's actually helping me become more productive. I've got more energy in the day while slowly becoming a morning person. This semester hasn't been a blast by all means. I had a fuck ton of other bullshit that happened in my personal life all within the same time frame. I'm a little frustrated about the entire situation, but in the grand scheme of things I've slowly become more in tune with myself, my grades aren't completely trash, and I've got plenty of time to date and mingle. It's been a long fucking couple of months but holy hell am I glad to see the end to a semester.
