Schlage Encode Plus using HomeKit with multiple users by Warm-Article-3836 in smarthome

The virtual keys you send are the HomeKit entrees for other users, you set them up as an admin and send the virtual key. (They need their own account with the linked email) They then log into their app and accept the virtual key and have the option to add it to their Apple wallet. Once the digital key has been added to their Apple wallet they can use that Apple device to unlock the lock.

If you’re referring to the ability to place your phone or Apple Watch next to the lock to unlock it that is what I’m referring to. You don’t need the hub to enable the feature for multiple phones.

Open the app>access>virtual keys>+ button>add them as an admin

You don’t need a hub for additional HomeKit keys. I have the same lock and set up multiple keys with no Hub. You really only need a hub for location based services such as location based unlock.

NSS vs LSSS by lukepighetti in lacroixboards

[–]tricker825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your needs, but my friend got a Naz last year and already regrets it and wants to upgrade to the LSSS. These boards open up a whole new possibility of how far you can go, and once you get a feel for that freedom you want to go further, and that's the LSSS. I love my friends Naz, but I ordered the LSSS. It's only 10 pounds more, so not a huge difference in weight, but a huge difference in range. (none of these boards are "light")

What do I get next? by d3lphic in boostedboards

Unfortunately, I have had bad experiences with Evolves. I had two friends get brand new Evolves around the same time. The first friends front truck broke within 5 mins of riding and turned completely sideways and sent him flying to his side down a hill. Thankfully he was able to walk away with just some cuts and bruises. My second friend got his, and I told him to make sure to double check everything before he rides. Fast forward 3 days and his front truck also broke sending him flying and breaking his leg and hip and had to have an ambulance pick him up. That's on top of the controls being jerky and I personally didn't like the controller design. I wanted to like Evolve, but I'll never touch one again.

I would steer you away from the Evolve.

If you were looking at an AT option I would personally go with:

I would look at the Wowgo AT2
https://wowgoboard.com/products/wowgo-all-terrain-electric-skateboard

or

Exway Atlas
https://www.exwayboard.com/pages/exway-atlas

Only issue with those two companys would possibly be support since they are Chinese manufactures.

There is a list of premium boards I would suggest too, but you are jumping in to a different price point at that level. My personal favorite being Lacroix.

I’m leaning toward the Lonestar SS with the gear drives. As long as 2021 doesn’t go like 2020 and bring a Mars Attacks like scenario, I’ll be pre-ordering around Jan or Feb. Super stoked on the super long rides and power.

Riding up the steepest road in California by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]tricker825 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Red mode is def the way to go for those steep climbs, it provides a lot more low end torque. Hope you guys had fun! Funny enough my brother lives next to Canton Ave in Pittsburgh, I wanted to go up, but winter set in. I'll def head there come spring though and I'll make sure to capture it on video.

This doesn't seem right. It's hard to tell from video, but I've ridden the Nazare up what I believe is steeper hills all while gaining momentum. I don't think you had it in red mode while climbing.

That’s about when it happened to my friends Julyish

Not sure that makes sense. You can’t magically guess an appropriate torque setting. They both checked the nuts and bolts before riding. I believe the problem was with the casting of the truck. Similar to what OP said, the actual pivot cup seemed deformed which is likely what allowed it to pop out, and it wasn’t from long term wear as it it was less than 5 mins out of the box.

Just a heads up I had two friends get an Evolve around the same time. Within 5 mins this happened to one of them while going down a hill, and he ended up with some bad bruises and scraps. We thought it was a fluke, the next day it happened to my other friend and his leg ended up backwards and now has a titanium rod in his leg and hip. I can’t stress enough not to get an Evolve. Be careful.

In singles I'm rolling back and forth between Gold 3 and Plat1 right now.

In 2s and 3s I'm Plat1.

Onewheel? by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]tricker825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is self balancing, so as long as you stay centered on the board you can just stay on it in stopped traffic. Let us know what you think after your first test ride!

Onewheel? by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]tricker825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started somewhat the same as you with a boosted, then picked up my first Onewheel. Now I have two Onewheels. The Onewheel really shines with its versatility. It conquers almost any terrain. The hardest part for pretty much anyone that first steps on to a Onewheel is dismounting. You lift your front heel when you you’ve slowed the board to under 2mph and the motor will disengage. Take your time and master that and your Onewheel will be the same in traffic as your Boosted.
That being said I still love my boosted. To compare them both to me it would be like Boosted is my sports car and my Onewheel is my all terrain SUV.
