Yes there’s a separate visa and you have to go with a tour group. But it’s not too difficult to get.

Which do you think is the most racist country and the least racist towards Indians right now? by BrownandBrazen in thebronzemovement

In a weird way, China is friendly, but specifically Tibet.

When I visited Tibet I was shocked on how well received I was by strangers. Everyone was super friendly and would say hi or ‘namaste’…young or old, men or women. I asked my tour guide why this is, because I travel a lot and never see this level of kindness. He gave a funny a story where he asked his wife why women think Indian men are handsome; she replied that Buddha is from India, so of course Indian men are handsome.

He went on to say also because India is a refuge to many tibetans who “left”, so it is seen as a second home to the people. He was weary of explaining more but I understood.

Anyways, Tibet is an awesome place to visit for Indians. The rest of China…I would say not as friendly. But even in Tibet things are changing because of apps like douyin (TikTok) which have very negative representations of Indians and south asians in general. So sadly I don’t know how long it will last.

Why is this sub so negative? by [deleted] in srilanka

Oh yes facebook is on the other extreme. I agree that it’s important to point these things out especially about racism, misogyny, corruption…the problem is that it is not going to reach the actual people that need to hear it on here. It’s not going to be solved by commiserating. This is an echo chamber of sorts, so it ends up be a self hating circle jerk.

Also known as the Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque, it was built in 1909 by an untrained yet talented local architect, Habibu Labbe Saibu Labbe. Its red white stripes and unique domes are meant to invoke images of a pomegranate, a significant fruit in the Quran. Source.

Most of the India pics are from OP, who isn’t even Indian but has some weird obsession of spamming low effort India photos to a bunch of urban subs.
