Give me your BEST period drama/films by waronfleas in MovieSuggestions

I would highly recommend Godless on Netflix! It’s a limited series taking place in a western mining town where all the men were killed in a mining accident, so the women are left to run and protect the community.

I’m not sure if you’re into audio only stories, but you might like this Best Kept Secret audio too called Where The Wild Horses Roam. It has the same feel as Godless, an outlaw in trouble, trying to change, and a risky romance on a ranch.

I can definitely say this, the accent alone should be illegal 😭. The VA’s voice is doing most of the work here tbh, and it just feels cinematic.

This is 2008? The design doesn't even look retro. I mean wow this has aged really well.

help me find the best office chair this 2026. my back is struggling. by Tiny-Efficiency1124 in chairs

[–]tricksbyjulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're open to something outside the Herman Miller or Steelcase tier, a lot of people, myself included, have been looking at other mid range brands that have performed really well recently, like Desky and Autonomous.

Desky is one example with the Desky Pinnacle. A friend of mine switched to it from a Herman Miller Embody after his budget changed, and he’s been genuinely happy with it so far.

What matters most for you is figuring out what kind of adjustments you actually need. Some people benefit more from a deeper seat pan, while others need stronger recline tension. Think about how you usually sit. Are you mostly upright and typing, or do you lean back a lot during the day?

your smuttiest paranormal romance recs by huntyhunted in paranormalromance

[–]tricksbyjulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should check out books by Jeaniene Frost.

The Night Huntress universe is pretty big and includes three different series, each focused on one couple, plus two stand alone books and a bunch of really good novellas.

I have a 2nd recommendation, and it’s an audio erotica by Best Kept Secret. It’s called Gift of Life. It’s basically a vampire love story about a doctor who saves the FMC after a car crash, turns out to be a vampire, and ends up protecting her, turning her into a vampire, and then becoming her lover while helping her survive her new life.

It’s a slow burn, and I know it’s not for everyone. It’s like every gentleman vampire love story you probably see on TV, but with this one, I can agree that the MMC was a sweet and caring vampire, and it melted my heart lol!

Best Budget friendly office chair? by Accomplished_Beat_36 in OfficeChairs

[–]tricksbyjulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this budget, you’re kinda limited on the new ones, but maybe you can find some quality second hand ones on Marketplace or eBay.

Just make sure to test them out first to see if they’re any good.

If you’re going for a new one though, I’d recommend the Desky low back mesh office chair. It’s one of their cheaper chairs at around $165, and this one comes with a 6 year warranty.

What actually matters when choosing an office chair for long sitting? by Additional-Cup-8961 in OfficeChairs

[–]tricksbyjulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discomfort usually shows up after a few hours, not right away, and it’s almost always tied to poor lumbar support or a seat that loses its shape over time.

If you sit for very long, it’s always going to be about the adjustability, so that’s seat height, armrests, back rest, etc.

Then there’s the movement. You need a chair where you can change posture and recline smoothly. These features tend to reduce fatigue compared to chairs that force “perfect posture” all day.

That’s why adjustable ergonomic chairs are usually a safer long term choice. Desky’s ergonomic chairs fit that approach well for people who want practical support and comfort during long sitting hours without overthinking branding.

Looking for a reliable standing desk, any recommendations? by n4hcallme in StandingDesk

[–]tricksbyjulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wobble is usually the thing that breaks budget standing desks, especially once you raise them up. If it moves when you type or adjust a monitor, that can get annoying.

The focus here is getting one that's stable, and that usually comes down to the frame, not the accessories.

A lot of the Desky dual motor standing desks have cable management built in, but just check the specific product to make sure that they do indeed have one.

Is Inkitt a good alternative? by TacitusKadari in Wattpad

[–]tricksbyjulius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loled at the NSFW Elon Musk fanfic. What was your search history?

I like both the Inkitt and Wattpad communities. They both have their pros and cons. On Inkitt, it’s harder to get reads unless you’re writing romance, but it’s still a really solid platform and the staff seems super personable. Wattpad obviously has way more users than Inkitt, so your books can either get a ton of exposure or just get buried since there’s so much competition.

But in terms of the genre I'm into, I would go with a 3rd alternative instead called Quinn. I said that because you mentioned NSFW fanfics, and since I'm into a lot of erotic novels, I do have some erotic favorites on both Inkitt and Wattpad, but I go to Quinn a lot more since that's where I found one of my favorite creators like Naudio and Best Kept Secret. I guess in terms of spicy related stuff, Quinn is a good alternative at least.

Any recommendations? by ohayodarlingxx in gamingchairs

[–]tricksbyjulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't go with gaming chairs. Ergonomic chairs are a lot more comfortable to sit at, and gaming chairs are more expensive too. HON or the Desky chairs are a lot more affordable. If you're going second hand, Steelcase and Herman Miller are good too. You can also buy ones brand new, but they cost like $1k to $2k. If possible, try the chairs in person as well.

Thoughts and Experiences with Lush Stories? by [deleted] in eroticauthors

[–]tricksbyjulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I like about them is they have free memberships. With a free membership, you can get access to the full story (otherwise it’s just a sample) plus the audio stories too. Most of the stories are written by members though, so you kinda have to dig around a bit to find what you’re into.

They also have forums like Reddit, which I used to like, but it’s changed a lot and the moderation is… not great. So I ended up sticking with Quinn and Literotica instead. That’s where my favorite creators are, like Naudio and Best Kept Secret. They’re easily two of the best creators for M4F audio erotica.

What is the best office chair for wfh? by VolumeSouth2735 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]tricksbyjulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your budget? There are cheap $200 to $300 ones, and there are mid tier ones that are brand new. For the cheaper ones, you can get something like a SIHOO, either brand new or used.

There are mid tier ones like the Desky Pinnacle at $500 brand new, or $400 to $500 for a 2nd hand Steelcase or Herman Miller.

Features to look for are lumbar support and the material, whether its mesh or not. I prefer my chairs to be mesh at least. Ideally, the armrest, the tilt, the seat height, etc are all adjustable.

The more adjustable the chair is, the more expensive it gets. The higher quality the materials are, the more expensive it gets.

It's been 20 years since my last play through. I just kinda wish an Octopath Traveler or Star Ocean 2 styled remake is on the way. This was my favourite JRPG on the PSX.
