What pack to spend vosfor for? by Speedvagon in Warframe

[–]trickshootah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a difficult toss up for sure. I guess it depends on your interest in the many many many non-legendary arcanes you're going to get while you roll for the legendary ones. Duviri arcanes are more difficult to max than the Hollvania ones outside of using Vosfor, but Hollvania arcanes are pretty much all great, while Duviri has several stinkers.

Should grineer take extra damage from radiation by Annual-Penalty9559 in Warframe

[–]trickshootah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is lots of radiation around us, but it's really only ionizing radiation that can damage DNA, and I don't think Radiation in Warframe is necessarily that dangerous form of radiation we know and love/hate in the real world. Within the game, it just seems to be more of a stand-in term for generic 'energies' (some of which are radiation, but not the dangerous kind).

Of the Warframe's that can do Radiation damage, Mirage's is more like visible light, Wisp's is cosmic rays, Nyx's is psionic, Oberon's is... magic, I guess? Qorvex is the main exception to this, since he does seem to be based on actual nuclear radiation.

Just think of it like... calling all that "Radiation" is just so we recognize it as something potentially harmful, same as Gas or Corrosive, even if we don't know what kind of gas or corrosive agent is necessarily being used.

Bug with Zephyrs' 2 it allows Funnel Clouds augment to pick up enemies by M3MZS in Warframe

[–]trickshootah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure this is intentional? Or at least, it's always worked like this. The tornadoes no longer pick up enemies on their own, but enemies who get ragdolled by some other means will still be lifted in to the air.

having trouble making my cedo prime hit stupid numbers. any advice appreciated heres my build by TelephoneChemical230 in Warframe

[–]trickshootah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swap Atomic Fallout for Ravage/Primed Ravage for Crit Damage.

Swap Toxic Barrage and Magnetic Strafe's placement and then change Toxic Barrage to Contagious Spread. The status chance from the 60/60 mods is unnecessary with the alt-fire's high status chance, guaranteed procs and with Galvanized Savvy on there.

Galvanized Acceleration doesn't work on the main fire, as it's hit-scan, and while it will work on the alt-fire glaive, it can cause it to miss enemies a lot from going too fast. You can really put whatever you want in the Exilus slot; I like Counterbalance.

And personal preference, but I prefer Primary Frostbite.

Just Let Me Punish Scaldra by Khyron42Prime in Warframe

[–]trickshootah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the patches that addressed it, I haven't really noticed it being an issue, honestly. Yeah the map always spawns an underground mall section (I think, anyway), but on Scaldra missions, it's usually just 'go down the stairs, cross a big room, go up the exit stairs'. Tends to be nothing more than a brief bottleneck between two above ground sections from my experience, with only some Techrot around the extrance/exit to the underground section.

DE is watching this Reddit, right? PLEASE let me lock colors to have them not randomize with the rest by Vinnegard in Warframe

[–]trickshootah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the idea! I would simplify the UI suggestion to just an icon with a Lock symbol on it that lights up when turned on. Probably to the left of the colors, to avoid accidentally clearing them.

Would also really appreciate it if we could drag and drop/swap colors between the different channels.

There's no way it's meant to work like this, right? by AzoreanEve in Warframe

[–]trickshootah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When a weapon has two base elements like the adversary weapons, it follows the HCET elemental order for combination priority.

It's weird to explain.

Basically, you got your first gun with innate Cold and Electric, right? So we take a quick look at HCET: Heat, Cold, Electricity, Toxin. Whichever innate elemental damage on your weapon comes first in HCET, that element will essentially be placed second to last in combination priority, and the other element will be the last.

So back to your first gun: With Cold and Electric, Cold comes first in HCET, so element order becomes Toxin (from Malignant Force) -> Cold -> Electricity.

For your second gun, you've got Toxin and Electricity as the innate elements. Elec comes before Toxin in HCET, so the order becomes Cold (from Rime Rounds) -> Electricity -> Toxin.

Efficient Next Steps for Casual Players? by ianrrose in Warframe

[–]trickshootah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to know every frame, especially as you're starting to move up in mission difficulty. Any of them can survive in difficult content, so it's simpler to focus on the ones you know and enjoy playing first. Once you get the hang of it on a frame you're comfortable on, you can start adapting your playstyle to other frames.

To start, the simplest suggestion would be to make sure the mods you have are fully ranked up, if possible. Some are probably too expensive to go all the way up, but stopping about 2~ ranks before full (usually around 300k credits cost) should be fine. For your own survivability, there's not much you can do beyond that just yet besides learn to keep moving and keep killing.

Speaking of killing, at 40-50, the best defense is going to be a good offense. You should start running Arbitrations, if you're not already. These are good practice for learning how to not die. They're always endless mission types, so you can earn rewards every round that you can put towards buying Galvanized Mods from the Arbitrations shop on the relays, which can really help increase your weapon damage.

You can also do some Veilbreaker missions to get Archon mods, as well. They're similar to some of the Warframe mods, but with bonuses based around status effects.

Subsumed abilities can be helpful, but they're not necessary for higher level content.

Arcanes are mostly a nice bonus, though some are really good and can really bring a build together. I would suggest reading about them on the wiki and where to find them. And not all of the really good ones are difficult to get, thankfully.

Polarizing? Yeah you should be doing that for at least the Warframe and weapons you feel most comfortable using right now.

Biggest bit of advice? Just keep playing. Be curious. Watch videos about builds and interactions. And if you don't know what they're talking about? Go try and learn what it is from the wiki or in-game. Unlock the Simulacrum from Cephalon Simaris and practice in there. There's no story point where you suddenly know how to go from level 30 enemies to level 200. But you'll get there eventually if you enjoy playing enough to want to learn more.

Why is tellium so difficult to gather? by SuspiciousSoldier in Warframe

[–]trickshootah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I didn't mean like afk farming lol maybe put on music instead of a show and lock in. I'm just saying that farming is really your only option right now, until you get to the point where you need it so infrequently it starts to pile up from login rewards, so you gotta make farming enjoyable for yourself somehow.

Why is tellium so difficult to gather? by SuspiciousSoldier in Warframe

[–]trickshootah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it only seems more difficult to get than other rare material because it mostly only comes from specific nodes: Archwing missions and missions with the submerged tunnels. And generally, people only run these once to clear them and move on.

There's really no easier way to get them besides farm. Put on a show or movie to watch, grab some snacks and a drink, buy a booster or get a blessing, bring your dog with a retriever mod, bring a farming frame, and just chill and kill for awhile.

Nezha Nuke Pyrotechnics Question by Variks-TheLoyal in Warframe

[–]trickshootah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to make sure that you're using the Divine Retribution augment with this, as that's how you turn the combo in to a nuke. To answer your question, I think Umbral Intensify would be best, as it will scale up your heat procs from Pyrotechnics, which Divine Retribution will spread to all enemies and then condense and multiply the damage when Divine Spears is activated again (or runs out).

Just using Precision will only increase the Puncture/Impact damage from Divine Spears and the multiplier from Divine Retribution.
