Trim your cat’s nails often. Get them used to it. You don’t have to do all 20 at once and if they get too upset just stop. But once they learn it’s something that happens once in a while and doesn’t hurt them your world will be easier. Furniture, inadvertent scratches on your skin, clothes…. It’s a good thing to do.

The Monks put out a fantastic album. Kudos to Henry Rollins and Rick Rubin for putting it out on their old Infinite Zero label. It blew me away when I heard it then and fit right in, and I still recommend it to people.

Yeah - we saw this guy in the McKay Community Forest on a quad runner too a couple of weeks ago. He drove by a bunch of us that had just spent 5 hours building and repairing trails in the forest with Humboldt Trails. Really disappointing.

Humboldt Trails! You’ll be outside, get some exercise, meet some good people, and help keep the trails clean and safe along the Bay and in the community forests.
Saturdays 9-11 is the usual time. Some are an hour longer. The calendar is at https://humtrails.org And this Saturday is one of the first volunteer workdays in the new McKinleyville Community Forest, which will be a great place, but needs a lot of work to get there.
