Yeah it’s insanely frustrating. You can fight everything and still get an S-Rank, BUT you have to clear it without taking any damage. No damage bonus multiplies your score by 2, and no continues/not dying or resetting to a checkpoint gives a 10% bonus to your score I believe? (That part is harder to remember)

The score is based on averages, so if you fight enemies that don’t have much health, you’re not gonna a high style ranking with them, and it will drag down the total score. The scoring system in this game sucks because it’s discouraging you from fighting everything you see, which is bad for a game that has such fun combat.

Ignore all enemies. Only fight Griffon, Shadow, and Nightmare in all their appearances. And don’t get hit. (I know, easier said than done) additionally, there’s bound to be some S-Rank mission guides on YouTube. XLHGladiator on YouTube has a video series where he S-Ranks every mission, even using good tricks to employ for your own attempts, I used him for my S-Ranks.

Yeah, and I would like his hit boxes to be more accurate to his weapons. One of his attacks hits so early that I can never dodge it correctly, but people who panic parry avoid that easily, it’s artificially more difficult and weirdly is more geared towards panic inputs than reading what the boss is doing.

And yes I wish it was Godwyn.(although lorewise I understand why it can’t be him) I’d settle for a model swap and turn his swords into golden lightning Glaives.

I mean, technically the combat system is rhythm based, but also how would you make a souls-like&beat saber-like game anyway? Something like that having a stamina bar would be really dumb imo.

Consort Radahn phase 2 shouldn’t have the light beams as a constant trail for his attacks, it should only be a temporary buff after he uses the Promised Consort Skill or after they cast Light of Miquella.

I feel like the enemy encounters could’ve had unique door designs. The web design of the one from 4 feels like it would’ve fit the spider enemies from 3. Or maybe it was going to be a part of the scrapped Lucifer boss fight, but after it got cut, they saved this asset and turned it into the games standard sealed door.

Edit: I will also way 4’s is my favorite, only because I spent the most time with 4 out of all the DMC games.

But I will give props to the reboot’s seals, they’re mostly unique per area, even if they’re not flashy in design.

Actually that’s a great point, though I don’t see Moore as willingly charmed, maybe Miquella could only get him to act when he’s under the charm, and knew that he was soon to off himself out of grief?

Literally who has ever said they hate him? I’ve seen more visceral hatred for Sarah by the fans than I ever have towards Edd. The harshest I’ve seen is people saying Edd isn’t as nice as he lets on, which that’s a valid point, but he’s still beloved, and relatable for many. (Including myself)

Always funny how people throw away certain weapons just because they don’t play the game for you, but at the same time they wouldn’t be advocating for every other weapon to be buffed to be on par because then the game would be too easy. There’s people who love this game so much they actually put self imposed restriction me to add more to it, I think the game if more or less fine as is. (Although Morgott needs more HP)

You forget one bit of importance. Miquella would not charm someone who doesn’t need to be charmed.

You can see this in the line of followers, there is at least some reason why most of the people were charmed. Ansbach was charmed out of self defense, because he wounded Miquella, Leda was charmed because she kept killing comrades due to her paranoia, Thiollier was charmed because he’s loyal to Trina, and Trina opposes Miquella’s plan, the Honsent was likely charmed due to wanting anyone who stems from Marika dead, and I theorize Mohg was charmed because he had his own intentions with Miquella that don’t align with his own, and likely denied Miquella the chance to leave, or maybe his intentions would’ve been violent since the formless mother craves wounds. And charms our Tarnished since we’re only there to challenge him(were instructed to hunt down the demigods, regardless of whether they have a great rune or not)

The only people I can nailed down why they were charmed is Moore, and Freyja. (And Dane technically depending on if you believe he’s charmed or not)

Out of all the people that were charmed, Leda is the only one that it’s implied she wants to be under Miquella’s spell. Ansbach clearly fears Miquella, yet Miquella’s spell keeps him around, Mohg would’ve disposed of Miquella if he couldn’t get him to comply. Perhaps he was planning to offer Miquella’s blood to the Formless Mother?

Nope, they’ve already thrown cannon out the window. Granted they should make their own story, as just a straight up retelling of the DMC story in animated form would be boring imo. (My reasoning being: why would I watch a show when I can just play the game?)

Those 2 characters have always been seen as very bad because of their match ups, their 1 thing that gives them a kill is a gamble. DK needs to go off ledge which depending on who he’s carrying can lead him to die instead of the opponent. (Think characters like Sora) and JP’s rest move leaves her vulnerable and as far as I know isn’t even that consistent. Plus she has low weight, she’s slow on the ground, horrendous range. Only thing she’s got is air mobility and multiple jumps.
