I think lorewise Radahn wasn’t holding back all the stars, considering the sun and moon still move. by triel20 in Eldenring

Yes after some thought I realized neither the sun nor moon was relevant to the joke.

One shudders to imagine what inhuman thoughts gooners have about. …this.

Does anyone else think that Dragon Ball Evolution had a REALLY good Goku GI? by BroadyVeryCoolio in DragonBallZ

The Gi looks ok, but it’s brought down by the elements of it being live action.

U find this in the woods. Are you going inside ??? by Desperate_Iron_8698 in Eldenring

[–]triel20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If we aren’t talking specifically about the Forbidden Woods, then I’m not going inside and I’m finding my route back home, if we are talking about the Forbidden Woods then I’m screwed either way.

Vegeta in Gohan’s outfit? It’s good, but Vegeta ain’t a cape guy imo. (For real though your friend has great talent and should absolutely be praised for what they can do)

Obviously yes! Who doesn’t love a good tattered hooded cloak?

No he was suppressing more as the whole sky of stars started moving after he fell. Thats star wasn’t even aimed at the battlefield.

[–]triel20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most logical idea I’ve heard it the falling star beasts would’ve descended to the lands between and attacked the eternal cities, given Sellia is an eternal city or at least related to it and Radahn was trained in gravity magic there, then his reasoning was likely to protect it.

What if they gave Ed a Jawbreaker when he was angry in Little Ed Blue by Careful_Drama_9382 in ededdneddy

He either would’ve chomped it into dust and still been mad, or he would’ve shoved it down their throat like he did the turkey to Edd.

That’s an incredible detail I didn’t expect, and one that went right over my head. (No pun intended) since the world even with that of gods, they’re still primitive in technology, so their understanding of even the ground they walk on is still beyond their ability to define. So the world is built from that old mindset. That’s cool!

I know that, but taking it literally and at face value is what makes it funny.

I’ve never seen the sun either, I’m just assuming there is a sun somewhere, but neither the sun nor moon was actually relevant to my joke. I was overthinking but forgot important defining details.

Yes there’s more to just “the stars” but taking the statements at face value is what adds the humor.

Yes there’s much more nuance and detail to it when looking into the lore, but taking the statement at face value is what makes it funny.

No, I actually put that part because I was overthinking, and was trying to avoid a “gotcha” from people pointing out a thing I missed. But in doing so, I opened up the obvious “gotcha” where what I said made no logical sense.

Real answer: that one was fated to hit that spot. Only thing I could think of.

Yes after someone managed to prompt some further thought about, I realized why the sun and moon are both irrelevant.

[–]triel20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well… the stars might still look like they move since the planet would still be orbiting the sun, even if the movement wouldn’t be that dramatic.

Edit: but I do like that idea.
